Does he look happier now?
With about $260k already locked up, I would expect the answer is yes
GB actually have 3 of the Top 10 - John Eames, Philippe Souki & Andy Taylor.
John Eames was a huge winner around 10 or 15 years ago, & has 2 or 3 EPT wins to his credit.
I don't know Phillipe Souki, but Mr Channing @NChanning tells me he is a Vic regular, so maybe @Essexphil knows him.

With 3 Brits in the Top 10, the GB has a real chance. Not to get too excited, but a GB win might just produce a domestic version of the "Moneymaker Moment".
Usually when some Brits go deep I have zero idea who they are but this time I've played with all three of them and I know John quite well. I don't go in the Vic very often these days but I feel like every single time I've been in there in the last few years Philippe has been there. A really good player with a funny sense of humour plus he is extremely well mannered and has a great temperament. I just saw the ICM values of the stacks. If they did a chop now and all took the value of their chips John would get $1.5m, Andy would get $1.6m and Philippe would get $2m. Fun day coming up for them.

Ha, if it were a Caption Comp you'd have scooped 1st prize.
Mind you, 1st prize is normally £0. So award yourself a virtual £0
Many of you may have sat with the player in question at SPT Grand Final Manchester, which he eventually won
But why "topical"?
