We don't see as much of Jac35 these days, he has so much else in life to spend his leisure time on, but it seems that Double Points this month has lured him back, if only temporarily. The notable thing about this win was that it was done against the distraction of playing around 40 DYM's in the same session. It's surprisingly difficult to mix large field M TT's with DYM's as the skills required are so very different. If you have, say, 5 DYM's + 1 MTT running simultaneously, some mental gymnastics are required to cope with both. And he's not a young man, either.

Also notable was Nitrogen in 5th. In a 6 week period around the end of 2020 he won two UKOPS, a Summit & a £6k BH, clearing north of £10,000, after which he seemed to disappear. Returned quite recently & seems to be playing smaller stuff now. Not a player you want on your table, ever.

Notably, he won the 2007 Grosvenor Grand Prix for £90,000 - the biggest domestic event at the time - & had dozens of cashes at DTD where he was a regular, & a very popular regular too. I'm inclined to be naïve, but everyone who met Marcus said the same thing, he was just a regular guy. Nothing sinister or nasty about him, he was polite, warm, friendly & personable. One of those guys who everyone liked, he had no enemies.

So it was something of a shock when, in 2009, the news reported he had been arrested at his home in Kidderminster for the murder of his wife 12 years earlier in the USA. WTF? He fought extradition for 2 years before being sent back to the USA where he admitted murdering his wife, & was sentenced to 20 years. Presumably, he's still incarcerated.

Rather oddly, he had a noticeable scar on his cheek, which, if asked, he would put down to a car accident. In fact it was a gunshot wound, from an (alleged) suicide attempt, when he put a gun in his mouth & pulled the trigger. Somehow, instead of blowing his brains out, the bullet exited through his cheek.

As someone noted yesterday, when we looked at the case of MadYank, you really never do know what sort of people you might end up sitting next to at a poker table.

Makes you wonder if there are any murderers amongst us on Sky Poker. There's certainly a few who can murder a poker stack.

Think I have mentioned this before.

My family moved to Essex to be close to my Grandmother (who I never met).

She was not a Murderer. And she was found Not Guilty in relation to Attempted Murder.

Which sounds so much better than Not Guilty on the Ground of Insanity
