Just 48 hours after running 2nd in Avenger Mini for his best result in 12 months, MZS did well again, winning this. Has had a good month, as also ran 7th in a Main at the end of June.

Mr Bates ended July with easily his biggest result of the month, in fact it was his best result since winning Avenger Main at the start of June. 18 bounties too, some 10% of the field if we include rebuys. As he explained on the Forum a few days ago, he has moved much of his volume elsewhere, in fact he only played 75 MTT's here in July, quite sad in a way, but I fancy his ROI here remains excellent.
Talking of "excellent", the commentator on last night's England - Germany repeated 5 times the expression "so & so did excellently well there.

Really? One wonders what they teach them at school these days. I don't know why it annoyed me so much but it did.
A tough old FT too, with Palace Bloke, roddy & ValueJl all in close attendance.
However, perhaps the best performance of all was by @NOSTRI who managed to finish 7th without taking a single bounty. In fact, if finishing positions were ranked by Bounties taken he finished 74th. I'm really not sure whether to congratulate or commiserate.

No disrespect intended at all, but imabonhead winning the Major was something of a turn-up. It was his first MTT here for a fortnight, & he single-tabled it the whole way. Has been here 13 years without winning anything remotely that big. Best previous scores I could find were a Sheriff & Quickdraw 4 days apart in the Spring of 2020 during the boomlet glory days. Just as a reminder of boomlet & those golden times, the Sheriff he won made £4,500. Yikes. Paid in direct last night too, as far as I can see, despite an ABI of around £15. A wonderful result.
As you'd expect, a very competitive FT including TONY509, jordz16 & Sharki0.
