Manchester United

Just seen that Man U have spent £80 million-plus on yet another Winger.

Wingers at the club:-Antony, Sancho, Elanga
Wingers who can also play centrally:-Rashford, Martial, Greenwood (!) and Ronaldo.

Of those, who is better as a Forward than a Winger? That would be (IMO) Greenwood, who may never play again. And Ronaldo, a 37-year-old, who is desperate to leave.

Ten Hag just seems to want to sign players he knows. Regardless of the needs of the club. Spending big money on Antony, when he has enough Wingers. On Eriksen, when he has enough AMs,

Leaving to one side that Ajax would probably have finished about where Man Utd did last year. Man Utd need Defenders, Defensive Midfielders and Strikers.

Not just people Ten Hag knows...

Casemiro isn't a defensive midfielder? Martinez isn't a centre back? Scumchester have spent sh1tloads this summer and still they moan about their owners. Who do they want Mike Ashley?

Casemiro? Yes. Still leaves him playing alongside Fred.
Martinez looks more like half a centre back :)

Agree about their moaning about the Glazers. But their squad looks lopsided. Suits me fine...

I absolutely love it, watching them **** a small nations GDP on players who won't make a difference then all the fans moaning and crying because it doesn't happen.

    As Bill Shankley once said,

"If Manchester United were playing on my lawn, I'd close the curtains."

My Original Post stems from my love of Spurs.

Man Ure had a choice between Ten Hag & Pochettino.

Poch. A proven success at a massive club (PSG) and an even better record at Spurs. PSG fans sound a lot like Man U fans-complaining because they didn't like the way he won the league? Really?

A man who, at all previous clubs, has looked at where things need strengthening. Looking forward, not back. Never relied on looking at players at past clubs. Wherever he ends up, I wish him well. (Can't say the same for Maureen  )

Compare/contrast with Ten Hag. The answer to their problems is not signing any old 6 players you know, like some 1980s Scottish Manager in England. With the large amount of money spent, could have bought proven Premier League performers, in the positions they are lacking.

When he took over, they were about £100 million of talent behind Chelsea, Arsenal & Spurs. They need to overtake 2 of those to make the Champions League.

Now? They look further behind than before. Time will tell.
