Lee Anderson, MP for Ashfield, calls Mr Bray a 'parasite and a scrounger' during the confrontation on Whitehall yesterday - prompting Nigel Farage to tweet that he was a 'legend'. Video shared online shows the controversial campaigner approaching Mr Anderson, asking: 'How's the subsidised meals going Lee? Looks like you're benefiting from them.' Mr Anderson, 56, replies: 'It's a New Year, but you've not got a new job yet. Same old job. You're still a parasite. You're still a scrounger and you're still a malingerer.'
Like a Labour Party election agent (and former Labour Councillor) for the once-safe Labour seat of Ashfield. For the former Labour MP for Ashfield, Gloria del Piero.
Who, after being thrown out of the Labour Party for his racism, managed to be elected as a Tory MP who is too far to the Right for the Tories. Who seems to take delight in trying to humiliate the poorest in his own constituency, and those who try and help them.

Nadhim Zahawi really needs to explain his situation, failing which he's surely going to be forced out. He was, after all, the Chancellor at one time, (briefly....) & is the current Conservative Party Chairman.

It is a measure of the unelected chaos that is the last 2 PMs that Zahawi is in his 6th different Cabinet Post since July 2022, and that he has stood to be leader of the Tories and, therefore, PM.
It is the 2nd of those 6 jobs that beggars belief. He was made Chancellorof the Exchequer. The person in charge of the UK's tax system, and in overall charge of HMRC.
While the then-PM, Boris, knew fine well that there was a major investigation into alleged tax evasion by Zahawi. Being carried out by HMRC. And not any old investigation-the alleged amount in dispute was purportedly £millions evaded, and an agreed fine (in addition to the tax) of over £1,000,000.
None of this was disclosed to the public. And Zahawi is neither denying or indeed commenting on all of this. Meanwhile, he remains in the Cabinet.
Then we have the 2nd Fine handed out to our PM in relation to not wearing a seatbelt.
It's not the offence (which is minor) that offends me. It is the way it happened.
Rishi Sunak chose to talk to camera while in a moving vehicle. And, in order to be able to move his arms about more freely, he chose to unbuckle his seatbelt. Without stopping the car, or moving it off the Road. And no-one else in that vehicle felt able to tell him that was wrong.
I have seen what can happen when there is an accident, and the person without a seatbelt on the back has not only died themselves, but killed the driver as they catapult into them.
Poor judgment. From the sort of man still employing Zahawi.

Dominic Raab was bullsh1tting this morning. Nobody get fined for paying their taxes on time.

Nadhim Zahawi says tax error was found to be 'careless and not deliberate' after calls for his sacking
1. He is thick; or 2. He thinks the electorate are
His tax affairs were most certainly not careless. The complete opposite in fact.
Careless is when you forget to do your tax return on time. Or when you forget one small part of your income.
Careless most certainly is not when you move a business to an offshore tax haven. And create a separate Company to replace you as the shareholder, even though that new Company's sole role is to try and evade you paying tax. To the tune of over £3.5 million. Believing that that con will save you millions. The sort of dodgy tax dealings that are only ever carried out by experienced, well-connected tax advisers who have set out in detail exactly what the risks are. Invariably to people who believe that paying tax is to be avoided, and indeed evaded, by the very rich.
That's not "careless". That is very careful indeed. And fraudulent. And the sort of scummy behaviour that is not only tolerated but indeed rewarded by this Government.

Probably. The conflict of interest is massive. And obvious. To anyone who knew the facts at the time. Like Boris. It is putting a fox in charge of the henhouse.
It has to be one of the most appalling appointments of all time. Worse than appointing Truss as PM. And that is a spectacularly high bar.

They tend to send out the 1 Minister who can honestly claim they didn't know. Rather than sending out the various Ministers who did.
If Zahawi had not made a full and frank disclosure of all this prior to being in the Cabinet, and particularly the appointment as Chancellor, he would have been summarily dismissed from the Cabinet.
The fact that he has not been tells you that both Boris and Rishi knew. In detail.
Which rather begs the question-why did none of the various Ministers who felt they could no longer serve under Boris, mention this at the time?

Awkward spot for Mr Sunak.
