Center Parcs - what WERE they thinking?
Imagine being the PR Director, or Social-Media Manager at Center Parcs this week.
I mean, how did that happen?
The notion that a family had travelled 200 miles for a 2 week holiday but had to vacate somewhere for one day is ridic.
And then they try to correct themselves & say "OK, you can stay, but you MUST REMAIN IN YOOR LODGES".
I mean, WTF?
On a lesser level, it reminds me of the "Ratner Moment".
I'm sure Center Parcs will be fine, but it's 100% certain their business will be significantly damaged by the negative PR.

How difficult would it have been to organise it so that half their facilities were open? Some staff would like the time off-others would want the money. That their main Bar have a big TV screen so that people could watch the funeral if they chose?
Great shame. I have stayed at 2 or 3 of these places when the kids were younger, and I thoroughly enjoyed them.
