    My father was a traffic copper for many years, one winter he stopped a car that was absolutely covered in snow, with just a small, letter box sized, area cleared in the front windscreen, the driver was peering out of that but couldn't see anything else. When he pointed out how stupid it was the driver simply replied 'anyone can make a mistake!' Apparently, dad couldn't stop laughing and let the driver off with a stern warning.
