There's cheats in all walks of life and will be until the end of time (soon apparently ) but what gets me why do it , most of the time you'll get caught with all the tech /vids and all and sundry watching ,it just seems a waste of time just so that you lose trust and sometimes careers when you cheat .
There was a similar incident on Thursday in Ecuador involving a jockey called Joffre Mora. He was quite rightly banned for life.... Strangely , Soumillons ban doesnt start until14 Oct which allows him to take part @ Arc this weekend.
Being pushed off the horse at that height and at speed, most definitely could be considered to be that.
Andrew Thornton (ex-jump jockey) likened it to falling from the roof of a car doing 35mph. Going to hurt for sure, and Rossa Ryan was so lucky not to be seriously injured. As Thornton said, landing on his feet at that speed would normally break his ankle or leg at least
Soumillon should have been banned immediately, and for at least 6 months
