Euro 2024 Draw
England are now only in the Group of 2nd seeds (along with, amongst others, France/Scotland/Wales. The Draw is tomorrow.
This means that the Draw becomes far more important for the Home Nations.
If the Draw is kind, then England (or, for that matter, Scotland/Wales) could face a Draw like:-
Switzerland, Armenia, Faroe Isles, Gibraltar.
Whereas, if the Draw was distinctly less kind, could be:-
Spain, Sweden, Turkey, Slovakia.
When you are 2nd seeds (as opposed to 1st), qualification becomes distinctly harder. Only the top 2 are guaranteed to qualify, and only Scotland are guaranteed at least a play-off spot.
The 3rd seeds could be pivotal:-
Ukraine, Iceland, Norway, Slovenia, Republic of Ireland, Albania, Montenegro, Romania, Sweden, Armenia.
A real mixture of ability there.
