There was an interesting thread on this some time back. It was called "Bitcoins & Sh1tcoins" (or similar. Ran from 9/20 to 4/21, and had a wide range of opinion, both for and against.)
I think it is just about the riskiest investment going. People will make fortunes. And lose fortunes. Far, far too risky for me. But if people can afford to lose all their money on a speculative gamble, then there are worse punts out there.
yes bitcoin , but the original bitcoin which now has the ticker symbol bsv.
a peer to peer digital cash basically
the bitcoin that most people know was changed after segwit was introduced.
out of curiosity do you believe we are going digital and cashless?
No, or at least not for some time.
Cash transactions are reducing. And will continue to reduce. But there remains about 1 million people who do not have a bank account. The poor, the elderly, the disabled. People who want to buy things (legal as well as illegal) without leaving a digital footprint.
I don't agree with most of what conspiracy theorists say. But I think it will be a very sad day for personal freedom if cash disappears.
I think (and believe) cash will still exist before bsv truly becomes "peer to peer digital cash". Unless you believe that currency exchange is "commission free"...

This happens when you accidently chuck your hardrive in the bin and it ends up in a landfill
