I have qualified for a Bounty Hunter comp next Friday and i would like to clarify how the bounty actually works plze.
If you knock another player out in the comp do you get 75% of his chip value as a CASH PRIZE and the other 25% goes onto your own head value? Regards H.
Morning scot, you bank 75% of their BOUNTY if you knock them out, and the remaining 25% gets added to your bounty. For example, you have qualified for a £110 bounty hunter, so minus the £10 rake the remaining £100 is split in two, £50 goes into the prize pool and £50 is the bounty on your head for others to win if they knock you out. If you knock someone out you bank 75% (£37.50 is yours no matter what) then the other 25% gets added to your bounty(which makes your bounty now worth £62.50 to who ever knocks you out) and so on. I have seen tournies finish with the winner making more in bounties than actual first place prize money. i.e
Thank you for the information Jackdaw it was very helpful to comprehend the format. I googled it and also tried to watch You Tube videos, but it still bamboozled me! I used to play big comps in casinos in Scotland but never a Bounty Hunter, but now i just mess about in small games online. Usually i just play 28p games and constantly go 'all in' because i only really want the poker point so i can play for bigger prizes ha.
It may be worth you having a look in the compititions section near bottom of the forum page, theres a few comps going to build a bankroll and also win entries into the main comp on sky, i.e, the monday triple take down and the mml league are worth a peek
