It's Diamond Dave here, with just a few words of appreciation on the hard work the Sky Team, but especially you:
From the day Sue won the package, the visit to Sky Towers, the appearance on Sky Poker TV live, the interviews, updates and all the hard work to make it the trip of a lifetime.
As each day went by, all the Viva Las Vegas winners had great times, good luck and more than a few Bad Beat stories. After Sue losing 20k of her 40k starting stack in the first hour, be it luck or good judgement, she ended day 1 and the next 3 days with an ever increasing chip stack.
This forum came alive with excitement and early morning expectation as 2 of the Sky Possie cashed, and all the goodwill messages and Mecican Wave will live long in our memories.
The $33,000 was enough to get Sue noticed on the Hendon Mob database, a pay for the next 3 or 4 trips to Vegas.
You published this story on Sky Sports before we left for Vegas in 2010, and I read it whenever I want a pickme up.
Thanks again Tony. ===================================================== ".....Hi All,
Still on cloud 9, and it still hasn't sunk in - how can I be going to play in the main event? I'm just an enthusiastic amateur who's still learning. I'm in my second flush of youth, so I'm going out there to have a great time and will take it a day at a time.
Nervous? you bet, but I could never believe in my wildest dreams that I would ever sit down with the poker greats, or even an A list celeb, but Sky Poker has made that dream come true, where else could you get passed less than 100 great players and be on a plane to Vegas; It's mad, but bring it on!!
Thanks for all your good wishes, and sorry to the guys that didn't quite make it, and remember if a girl like me can do it - anyone can; keep believing.
