Who won what, UKOPS Day 8, Friday 4th November. Tedson, GOAT of GOATS.

The streak continues, all 7 events last night covered guarantee, so that's 51/51 now. The HR & Main did not cover by much, but the £5,000 Mini which made £8,450, which, in context, is sensational. £8,450 for an £11 Mini on Sky Poker in the current climate, goodness me.

The top two in the UKOPS Leaderboard both had good sessions, as we shall see.

    A pleasing start as @Thakowsky, who has been here 3 years & played ~1,000 MTT's, enjoyed his biggest ever score. Was his best night overall too, as he also won a Regular £750 BH for £200, & was 3rd in MidEx.

    2nd was Crushy @loololollo for what by my (unreliable) reckoning was his 11th FT of the Series, & another followed later in the evening when he ran 4th in #49.

    Two Sky Poker veterans who know each other from SPT's 10 or 12 years ago were 4th & 5th, in @Solack & @MAXALLY. It was a second UKOPS FT in 3 nights for MAXALLY.

    This was the only MTT that @BigNBold played last night, so 6th was a solid score & a tidy bit of profit.

    Well would you believe it - @Tedson (pictured below) took the honours, for his FOURTH win of the Series, which includes 1 x £110 event & now a £220 event. In the corresponding series last year he won 3 events, 2 x £110 & 1 x £220, so that's 7 UKOPS wins in a year, 5 of which were £110 or more entry. What can you say, he's the GOAT of GOATS.

    It was a pretty special night for @ddomo (2nd) too, as he won his £220 entry in a freeroll. £2,300 off a freeroll is pretty neat.

    In 5th was @ozzieowen, worth noting there have been 3 High Rollers in this Series so far, & he has made the FT of 2 of them. Not even GOAT of GOAT @Tedson can match that. Yet.

    Playing for just his second night during this series, @wazzup934 was 6th for around £1,200, so it's worked out nicely for him.

    This was the Main & it went to @Woebegone who has registered numerous wins in regular stuff such as Mega, Quickdraw & MidEx but I doubt anything this big. I don't know this player from Adam, but his name always makes me smile as it evokes memories of one of the most enjoyable books I've ever read, Lake Wobegon Days, by the subsequently disgraced Garrison Keiller.

    Talking of Adam, Adam Bromley, aka @bromley04 a stalwart of SPT's, took 2nd, his best score in some time.

    4th was @Natnug, who was also 4th in the opening night Main. Has made a handful of FT's but I don't suppose he will thank me for noting that things have not quite clicked for him in this Series so far. He remains at the head of the 2022 Sharky MTT Leaderboard for Sky Poker though, but @loololollo is narrowing the gap significantly. I still believe Natnug will end the year in the #1 spot though.

    And so to the Mini, & the first thing to note is that prize pool. £8,450 and £1,400 to the winner for an £11 Mini on Sky Poker - who'd have thought?

    We saw a worthy winner too, in @bakersdoze who has performed well all year, with a bunch of 1st places including two Main Events, one of which was an Avenger.

    Another recent Avenger winner is @SMARTGOAT who was runner-up here. Does well in MTT's but is probably better known as a cash game player. Maybe not the GOAT of GOATS but definitely smart.

    One of the surprise packages of this Series must be @mrpedro707 who took his 2nd win last night. He began a real upturn in fortunes in late summer ago since when he has had some lovely scores, including 1st in a BWBH & 3rd in a Major.

    Card4Life, who won a big Major in early 2019, was 2nd, while @loololollo secured his 12th FT of the Series in 4th.

    In 3rd was @Jac35, who we don't see nearly so much these days, sadly, but he's busy with a growing lad & his golf. Has only played about 4 UKOPS this Series, so 3rd here for £240 is enough to be profitable, & not many can say that.

    Last night's finale went to @Wigglefish who puts the vast majority of his volume into Turbo DYM's. Decent night in MTT's though, as apart from the win here for ~£630, he was 7th in the Main for ~£600.

    We have not seen nearly enough of @waller02 lately but he had a brace of 4th places last night, 7 @ 7 & this. Hope you are OK Ryan, your bants are much missed.
