Covid Booster vaccine

There’s another thread discussing the rights and wrongs of taking the vaccine, I feel this is a different topic.

My wife and I were invited to have the 4th jab, the booster booster if you like..
As I’m getting on in years, and my wife is in the ‘at risk’ category due to health issues we decided it was prudent to accept the invitation.
We turned up at the docs they were performing the task, asked our names dates of birth, address and so on.
Here’s the next part.
“ Which arm”
“Left please”
We will do the lady first
“ I’ll just log onto the national database”
Logged on
“ I’m sorry I can’t give you this, it seems you already had it on the 18th October “
Wife - “ I can assure you I haven’t “
Look at our cards with our vaccine records on.
Oh… you haven’t have you, there seems to be a mistake somewhere on the system.
Ok no problem, I’ll have it now.
Sorry, no can do.

My wife was told to ring 119
The person on the phone said they will look into it.
Then said they will ring back in the next 5 days.
They rang whilst we were in a certain Swedish warehouse type shopping emporium.
    Wife explains again
Ok, let me get your details up.
The next question was a doozy
“ Where did the person have the vaccine on the 18th October “?
    Exasperated Wife “ I don’t know, it wasn’t me”
“ Oh, ok, I’m sorry there’s nothing I can do at present, could you ring back in 5 weeks please”

I suppose we should be surprised.

I was wondering if this had happened to others, I know everyone makes mistakes but this seems quite serious to me.

As I have said before, I have a high regard for the staff, particularly the nurses, but the NHS seem very poor at managing, arranging or organising anything.
