Afternoon.
Desperately short of time today, so the briefest of reviews.
Despite the football, numbers were remarkably good, with both BWBH (in the revised 9pm slot) & Avenger Main covered comfortably, the only black spot being a £400 miss for the naughty Mini. Would have bitten hands off for that going into the evening.
Big shout out to @NOSTRI. Yesterday I wrote...
"@NOSTRI had the better night overall though, & a very good night it was, 2nd in a £300 Rebuy, 2nd in the £1k Rebuy, 4th in a £400 BH, and topped it off by winning the Turbo after satting in for just £1.80. A most satisfactory night for the enigmatic software nerd."
Well last night he won Turbo AGAIN. And satted in again too. Was also 2nd in Mega & 3rd in Reload. Newton's Third Law states that for every upswing in poker there is an equal and opposite reaction, so he's in for the mother of all downswings now.
The re-scheduled BWBH went to @mnolan8317 which was his 3rd best result in 7 years here, beaten only by Sunday Major wins in both 2020 & 2021.
Avenger Main went to @seikus, hardly a shock, ditto @Natnug taking Quickdraw for about the 12th time this year alone.
@adair333 took the Mini. He had some great scores in 2011/12/13 but not so much since.
