Billy Hearn, 26, and Callum Booth, 25, were spotted on the Great Western train counting pregabalin tablets while sitting at a table.
The alarm was raised by fellow passengers who called police as they travelled from Llanelli to Swansea, South Wales.
Swansea Crown Court heard that British Transport Police officers boarded the train to find the men who 'appeared to be counting tablets.'
