Welcome everyone, to the 2023 Orfordable League, January Week 4 of 4

If you are not listed on the post below then please post your name/teamname on this thread to register, and thus qualify, to be in with a chance of winning a seat into the Friday 9.30pm £11 BH on February 3rd 2023

This runs every Friday at 7.15pm and is a monthly competition but you only need two scores to be in with a chance of a prize, your best two scores count.

Tournament: Friday Orfordable League- 10 seat Deepstack MTT with 12 min blinds
Time: 7.15pm EVERY FRIDAY
Entry: £3.30
Late reg: 60mins (end of Level 5)

EVERYONE IS WELCOME (bring your friends too)- come along and play in a nice, relaxed and friendly deep structured tourney, with plenty of banter, with the chance of a FREE MTT entry as a bonus.

RULES:
Last date/time for valid entry into The League- end of late reg every Friday
To qualify for a prize you must:-
1) Register your name /teamname on this thread or
2) Be on the AUTOREG list, which will be updated and posted every Friday
3) To win a prize you need at least two scores within the month, of which your lowest two will count as your monthly total
4) In the event of a tie, a countback system is in place, i.e, should two players have a total score of 8 (one with scores of 2 & 6, the other with scores of 3 & 5, the player with a score of 2 would win) , the player with the lowest individual score shall be deemed the winner.
5) Prizes are NON-TRANSFERABLE
6) Players will be automatically entered into the 9.30pm £11 BH on Friday February 3rd 2023

Good morning & a Happy New Year to everyone, I hope you are all well. Welcome to yet another Orfy League month where this one has just four weeks to post a couple of good scores and put yourselves in with a chance of a prize. Talking about prizes, congratulations to our December winners, @giesahaun & @FLASHJONNY and good luck to you both tonight. Good morning Orfy folk. the first Orfy of the year is in the bag. There were 35 starters last night with 20 being Orfy regged and of those, 5 made the FT.
Taking 9th place last night, and 5th overall, was @diamondlee, well played Lee.
A jump of five places is where we are headed now as @THECHIMP finished in 4th last night and is also 4th overall, well played Mr Chimp.
The lowest podium place of 3rd, also 3rd overall, went the way of @ray01, well played Ray.
Second on the night, 2nd overall meant that @Boomswitch fell just short for the win but nevertheless well played Boom.
Congratulations are in order for our winner last night, who also sits atop the League, @daggers747, well played daggers.

Good morning Orfy folk, I hope you are all well. This is Week 2 of 4 for this month so plenty of time to make a good score towards winning a prize. With 5 players making the FT last week, plus the next 3 places as well, it should make for an interesting month trying to predict whom will win one of the prizes available. My guess is that at least one player will gatecrash that top 8 to nab a prize by month end...we shall see. Anyway, I wish each and every one of you the best of luck for tonight.

Good morning Orfy folk, it's all change at the top.There were 41 starters last night with 17 being Orfy regged and of those 5 made the FT where they were all first time FTers for this month.
A first appearance of the month for @FORDAKIDZ, who made it all the way to 6th place last night, well played John.
A 9th place finish last night helped @wynne1938 move up the League by 4 places into 9th overall, well played Wynne.
Another who climbed the League by 4 places was @HENDRIK62, after his 8th place last night he moved to 4th overall, well played Neil.
Now sitting in 3rd overall, after climbing 6 places on the back of a 5th place finish last night, is @stokefc, well played Sean.
Although @THECHIMP only finished in 14th place last night it did not stop him from jumping up the League by two places into 2nd overall, well played Mr Chimp.
Another six place climber in the League was @goldnballz who, after finishing in 4th place last night, took over at the top of the League (a not unfamiliar place for him to be), well played Keith.

Good morning Orfy folk, it's brass monkey weather out there. I am going to have to start calling Week 3 "moving week" as for the 2nd month in a row there has been a big shake-up of the League table. Following on from last week, where 41 players turned up, there was another jump in the player pool with a very pleasing 51 registering, 18 of whom being Orfy regged and of those (18) 5 of us made the FT.
Making a first FT of the month with a 7th place finish was @THEHERDEIE, he sits 12th overall, well played Mr Herdeie.
Also making a first FT this month, @supercrazy finished one place higher in 6th and moving into 8th overall, well played Mr crazy.
Another first FT of the month went to yours truly by finishing in 3rd place last night and climbing up to 7th overall.
After last nights' dust had settled our top two from last week @goldnballz & @THECHIMP both fell two places into 3rd and 4th in the League respectively, no need to worry as still time to take a prize lads.
A 2nd FT this month, with a 4th place finish was enough to elevate @ray01 up the League by six places into 2nd overall on a total score of 7, well played Ray.
Also a 2nd FT of the month for the winner of last nights' edition @stokefc helping him leapfrog the previous top two into the overall league lead, on a score of 6, so Congratulations and very well played Sean.

Hi if anyone who knows bornablade sees this can you let him know to read this please.
Sorry that I didn't reply to you last night but I'm an OAP and have a few health issues so unfortunately I can't type very quickly. I know you were angry with the call I made but to be honest with you I didn't notice that you had gone all in and was snap calling the guy next to me not you. I understand that won't make you feel any better but I respect your play and would have laid it down. We all get bad beats that's just poker and I've been playing nearly 50 years so I've been on the wrong end of plenty of them. The one thing that bothered me was that you must have looked me up because nobody calls me Alan although it is my name so that spooked me a bit. Anyway I hope there's no hard feelings just don't get so angry it's only a bit of fun, and to anyone who messages me during the game I'm not being ignorant if I don't reply just very slow.

Very pleasing to see this make over 50 runners last night, think that's the largest turnout we've had for a long time.

This is the final week and we all know what that means...there will be two winners who are happy with the rest of us not quite so much eh? Nevertheless, it remains to be seen who the two winners are (& if the current top two can be knocked off their respective perches) so I say good luck to all who play tonight, may the best player(s) win. Good morning Orfy folk, the results for January are in. There were 49 hopefuls taking the plunge last night with just 17 being Orfy regged and of those, 4 made the FT this week.
A first FT of the month, finishing in 8th place, was gained by @bornablade who moved up the league by 5 places into 16th overall, well played blade.
A second FT in consecutive weeks is my claim to fame as I finished in 6th place last night which moved me up by two places into 5th overall (on a score of 9).
Yet another FT for @THECHIMP, this time in 4th place and coincidentally helping him to move upto 4th overall with a total score of 8, well played Mr Chimp.
Last weeks' 2nd overall became third overall after @ray01, with a score of 7, could only manage 16th last night, unlucky Ray maybe next month will be yours.
@stokefc fared even worse, finishing 37th but only falling one place to 2nd overall on a score of 6, congratulations on winning a prize Sean.
Making his 2nd FT of the month was @Boomswitch who took the win last night and climbed a massive TEN places on the back of that to take the League title for January on an excellent score of just 3, congratulations and very well played Boom.
Both @Boomswitch and @stokefc will be automatically entered into next Friday's 9.30pm £11 BH.
