So the property I am renting is up for sale Tomorrow morning before I start a 12 hour shift I have a perspective Vampire (thats what I call them is actually a potential buy to let investor) coming to look at the prospect of taking what we currently call our home away from us with the free money the bank is allowed to make up for them (hence why I call them vampires)
we had been planning to move anyway but I had hoped to move in July/August time so that it did not interfere with my degree exam in June.
considering how long it takes paperwork to go through of exchanging property etc by the time a sale is completed it wont be long before they can legally up our rent and considering that we been paying rent with no problems for nearly four years there is a tiny chance they wont seek to evict us most likely though they will and then they can do some improvements and get quite a bit more rent.
So when they visit tomorrow I have a number of options
1. Do not talk to them at all or as little as possible
2. talk to them implying we are happy tenants so they dont seek to evict us before exam on small chance they hope they can just get good paying tenants and they can up the rent shortly
3. imply we are not happy with the rent so they dont up the rent on us but risk increasing the chance of been evicted
4. follow them round the property with a Winni shoving it in their face and chanting bite them bite them bite them!! over and over again

......and just ask simple questions nice and politely......just to find out what they intend doing. If you have an ongoing AST then you can stay in there for up to 6 months.
They have to give you a Section 21 - 2 months notice to leave.....but you don't have to even then, 'coz they have to then apply for a Court Order to evict you ......which can take a while..... esp. as there's gonna be so many people getting evicted this Year 'coz they can't afford Rent in this Cost of Living crisis
GOOD LUCK David...... and Winni
If you choose any of the other options you deserve to be evicted.
Mixed bag the first lot were active and in discussion and we both explained what we looking for and could have honest discussion.
The second lot did not want any discussion at all but seemed to be father and son property developers but they didnt want to taklk to the scum sub human working class who are not quite human. (not what I believe but what I believe they believe)
the third was a young person looking to buy their first home. I am actually quite unhappy with how the estate agent has been going about things. but I didnt go into it there I got their email and will email them tomorrow got to leave for a tweleve hour shift shortly.
