On June 2, 2021, Ernesto Elliott (inset) was involved in a knife fight (main) in broad daylight in Greenwich, south-east London. Alongside his son Nico, 23, Elliott robbed and murdered 35-year-old Nathaniel Eyewu-Ago. Elliott was due to be on the chartered Boeing 757 on December 2, 2020, after being convicted of knife crime, police sources said. But he and 22 other serious criminals submitted last-minute appeals - including human rights claims - which led to them avoiding deportation to Jamaica. Supermodel Naomi Campbell, Line of Duty actress Thandiwe Newton and soul singer Beverley Knight (pictured right) each spoke out against Elliott's deportation among other criminals. But tonight, they made no comment about Elliott's subsequent conviction for murder. Historian David Olusoga (right) also did not respond to our questions.

This sort of journalism disgusts me. It is utterly contemptible-even for the Daily Mail.

Suppose you have 100 people convicted of fairly serious crimes, many related to drugs. It's not rocket science-some of that 100 will turn their life around, and some won't.

Now suppose 50 of them are White British citizens, with family ties/origins in another country. And 50 of them are Black British citizens, with ties/origins in the Caribbean.

Does anyone seriously believe that just the Black ones should get deported?

Then there is a reality check. It is not "left wing politicians" or "luvvies" that prevented these people being deported. It was Judges. Who heard both sides of these cases and decided, on balance, that these were still British people. That many (not all) of these people might be Criminals in the future, but that they remained British criminals.

The Daily Mail could take 1 of the Criminals who did turn their life around. And provide that as "proof" that they should never have been deported. And try & force Priti Patel to justify why she tried to deport them. And it would be just as wrong.

Do we believe that every British National who commits crimes abroad should automatically be sent back to us? Like, say, Shamima Begum?

It's 2-faced. And deeply ugly. But that is the role of the Mail.

That's a very fair and valid point Phil and one that I largely agree with. My main problem is this.

How many of the luvvie brigade would have got on their collective soapboxes had the criminal concerned been white ethnic ?

All depends on your definition of "luvvie". There are loads of people banging on about how terrible it is to be white, and claiming to have been "cancelled". When what they really mean is that they want to be able to tell the racist jokes that were perfectly acceptable in the 1970s.

Roseanne Barr and John Cleese are luvvies.

The day Britain starts trying to send White people from Developed countries or even Black Americans to Rwanda, then I'm sure there will be no shortage of people demanding that we don't treat White people as though they were cattle.

Or as though they were Black people from 3rd World countries.

Thing is, we don't.
