It's sickening, but that's the current system I suppose. When it was designed, I don't suppose anyone imagined Knighthood's being dished out to the ex PM's family.
Presumably Dolly Dewdrop has the same right, & she'll do a list of her mates & muckers too?
Her list is much shorter apparently.
I don't understand the hatred, surely she would rank in the top three PMs of 2022? Not bad considering she didn't have the faintest idea what she was doing there.
I do not like Fiona Bruce as host of Question Time. She fails to keep control. Every other week she allows the Tory to monopolise the conversations, by insisting he alone must talk uninterrupted, while butting in constantly when it is anyone else's turn.
But this particular criticism does not appreciate how the BBC has a duty to be impartial. This is a good example. Someone chooses to make allegations about Stanley Johnson, who is not there to defend himself. Quite rightly, Fiona Bruce alerts the viewers to the fact that there are (as ever) 2 sides to the story.
Not because she agrees with it. Because, as an employee of the BBC, she is duty bound to do so. Regardless of who is being attacked, and potentially defamed. And the Producer of the programme would have been in her ear, ensuring she did exactly that.
It would be nice if this Government, rather than sniping at the BBC all the time, would praise the BBC for showing how impartiality works in practice. Rather than saying nothing simply because it does not suit their political agenda.

But wait, there may be worse news to follow....

She thinks that she has to give them knithoods (probably).
