Strange game, once Everton woke up they were the better side IMO.
It was a terrible game to watch. For a whole variety of reasons.
1. The co-commentator spent the whole game referring to a club called "Tottenham Hotspurs". How bad are you at your job if you can't even get a team's name right?
2. Both commentators tended to have 1 idea, and bang on endlessly in support of their "theory", to the exclusion of everything else. So-for example-going on and on about how Spurs were sitting back. While giving no credit whatsoever to Everton giving their all. And failing to commentate on what was actually happening
3. Doucoure's sending off. Was it a punch, or was it a push? I didn't watch the after match waffle, but during the game this was just ignored. Also, if Kane was feigning injury, that could have been his 2nd yellow
4. Referee allowed far too much foul play without even awarding free kicks. Early on, Kulusevski got kicked up in the air several times, and the referee just ignored it. The Everton midfield were getting away with murder. And then Spurs, realising that the referee was clueless, did exactly the same, Skipp in particular
Spurs were in control for most of the match. But Everton finished stronger-draw was probably fair.
Doucoure. It was a shove rather than a punch imo. Very very disappointed to see Kane feigning injury though, I had hoped he was better than that. It was an embarrassment to watch.
It's a very odd thing in football - & only football as far as I know. When a player gets accidentally hit, brushed or slapped in the face - as can happen accidentally when two players challenge for a ball - the "injured" party falls to the ground, clutching their face. (see Bruno Fernandes x times every game). Why? To fall to the ground with a facial injury, it needs to be pretty serious, but these guys are right as rein 30 seconds later, once the villain has been carded.
It's an embarrassment to the game, & the authorities ought to stamp it out. Feigning injury = 3 month ban.
Doucoure - definitely deserved a Red, no argument.
Kane - feigned injury, as soon as the Red was shown to Doucoure, Kane miraculously recovered, & did not seek or need any treatment from the physio. Second Yellow ( = Red) for him IMO.

Ref only awarded 10 fouls against Everton, and no yellows, the whole game. His lack of control caused the match to descend into a rather nasty game. Gueye and Doucoure in particular should have both been carded in the first 10 minutes. Not saying it affected the result-Gueye's legs have gone, and Doucoure with a yellow might not have been so stupid to get the red.
@Tikay10 I can't argue with the red card. You can't hit people in the face and get away with it even if he deserved it. I've never like Kane anyway. He's one of many. I like the fight and fitness that Dyche has instilled in Everton. We would certainly have lost that game 2 months ago.

100% agree that was a much better Everton effort, lovely to see them fighting for the point(s).
And yes, despite Kane feigning injury, Doucoure deserved his dismissal.
A terrific comeback really, in fact they could have won it in the end.
