I've always loved the music of John Foxx. Started out with Ultravox-who were wonderful, but sold next to no records, until he was replaced by Midge Ure. When the music was mostly bland, but, to be fair, they made lots of money.
Since then John Foxx (under his real name Dennis Leigh) has done lots of interesting things. Musically, he has been diverse-for example, done a lot of stuff with Tim Simenon (of Bomb the Bass fame) and done quite a bit of house and acid music.
Still found time to do a lot of other things. From writing music for the likes of computer games for the Bitmap Brothers. To lecturing in his other love-graphic design. To producing book covers for the likes of Salman Rushdie and Anthony Burgess.
Blues is a genre that has never been truly popular in the UK. Despite the fact that The Rolling Stones regard themselves as a Blues Band. Here are 2 classics, probably better known by cover versions.
