This will interest some of you .
I read that the Oakland A’s have agreed to buy land close to the strip and will be building a new 35000 seat ballpark.
They will be moving the team there and you will be able to add watching Major League Baseball to the list of things to do whilst in town.
I always wanted to go back to Vegas, this would be brilliant to be able to watch the MLB as well.

It's great news. I believe it will be between Dean Martin Drive and Tropicana Avenue, so almost backs onto The Rio. (Assume The Rio is still there by then).

What a sports centre Vegas is becoming - MLB, NFL, NHL, F1, Boxing, MMA, etc.

Will that leave Oakland without any major sporting representation. If so it's a sad situation.

I guess so, I think the way sports stadia are funded in the USA is so different to here, cities are lining up to help pay at least part of the construction costs, banking on the revenue flowing back into the local economy, Oakland hasn’t been as forthcoming as other cities and have lost the Raiders and the A’s as a consequence. The coliseum is woefully out of date, not a great fan experience. Both owners have wanted to get out for some time.
Tough on the fans, but money talks.
