Cement

NoseyBonkNoseyBonk Member Posts: 6,184
I saw a news article and for some bizarre reason thought of our friend Tikay.

It was about a new all-electric 'concrete mixer' vehicle.

I've always called them cement mixers. I thought they mix cement with other ingredients to make concrete.

This is keeping me awake at night.

Pretty sure they are concrete mixers, & the largest business I used to know in that sector was "Ready Mixed Concrete Ltd".

You are right though - to make concrete, we mix cement, aggregate & water.

If it helps, I think the correct answer is this-

Normal, well-adjusted people call them cement mixers
Nerds, freaks, and industry insiders call them concrete mixers

    Hope that helps :)

Also known on site as the compo mixer as in "Get a mix of compo on, the brickies are running low".

Compo or mix being, cement, water and sand.
