Two paedophile hunters face becoming first in UK to be jailed after wrongly accusing innocent father of being a rapist and sexting a child in humiliating 14-minute livestream

Two paedophile hunters could become the first in the UK to be locked up after they humiliated a father live on Facebook for 14 minutes with false allegations that he was trying to sext a child.

    They are not "paedophile hunters".

They are wannabe policeman, acting as vigilantes. Publicly accusing innocent people of being the very worst type of criminal.

The younger one already has a string of previous, from impersonating a police officer, to violent disorder, to witness intimidation.

Whereas the older one is being portrayed as a gullible idiot with no previous.

Clear to me that 1 is going inside-not 2.

Why do these sorts of people think they are entitled to act as Judge and Jury, ruining lives in this way?

    A lesson for others?
    Probably not.

    It should be.
Sadly, you are right-it won't be.

Because there are increasing numbers of people trying to cash in on this sort of thing.

It ruins the lives of innocent people.
And helps Guilty people evade justice.

Not as scummy as kiddy-fiddlers. But terrible nonetheless.

It should be left to the police.
Although maybe the police could be a little more proactive.
