Some awful news reached me over the weekend, I understand that Boomswitch (aka David) has passed away.

He had been with Sky Poker 10 years - almost to the day - & was liked & respected by all who knew him.

A proper recreational player, mildly profitable, but really he just played for fun. I've lost count of how many Free Entry prizes he has won from Forum Comps, most especially the Orfy League, & FTT, the last just a few weeks ago, & he was on site playing as recently as Monday of last week when he played the FTT.

Don't think he ever started a session without his customary "evening, & good luck all" in the chat box.

Condolences most of all to his family of course, but also to his many friends here. He won't be forgotten in a hurry & our memories of him will be happy ones.

    Sad sad news played with him regularly never moaned a beat always upbeat and a very tough opponent, this is a shock RIP David :'(

    Very sad news. RIP David. Nice guy, great dry sense of humour. Loved his poker as much as his guitars. Will be sadly missed.

    Very sad news. I often play the forum Triple Takedowns and Orfy Deepstack, and regularly shared tables with Boomswitch. One of the good guys who was great company at the table and also very tough to play against.

    David was a much respected member of the Hitsquad poker Team and attended many live/APAT tournaments over the years. He will be sadly missed by many. RIP David.
