The noise these doors made when shutting them.

Spot The Ball and when the Poolsman started delivering the coupons you'd use a rubber stamp to increase your chances of winning but it never did workout.

Couldn't wait for the paper to be delivered so I could update these.

Just found out that you can still get them.

Some great ones there, especially Pools Coupons & chocolate machines on train stations.

Nothing - NOTHING - comes near that wonderful sound of doors closing on British Rail slam-door stock. I miss those so much.

I remember these from when my older sisters used to have a party (when allowed by mum & dad) and all the blokes would turn up with a Party7.

The chocolate machines and the clunk of the train doors bought back particular memories of my dad taking me to London on the trains and also getting a proper BR cheese & onion roll.

Taking pop bottles back to the shop for a few pennies.

Steel dustbins that the bin men picked and carried up your drive, emptied them and bought them back.
