Short-stacked in the WSOP Main & on the bubble, Stu Rutter folds K-K pre? Could you?

Just a dozen players off a min cash (~$15,000) & with just 16 BB, former Sky Poker TV Analyst Stu Rutter managed to find a fold pre-flop with K-K.

He's sold some action & so is updating his progress, & here's what he wrote;

Day three of Main

Wow wow

I have K-K in the small.

UTG opens to 12k. UTG1 3bets to 27k. (Already quite a worrying size)

UTG3 thinks for ever and 4bets to 80k (From 500k). 4 bettor is a, at a guess, 55 year old American guy.

All 3 have actually been very tight. I think, even if were somehow 3 hours ago, this is a case for a fold. But on a bubble situation, this is a fold.

Both others fold. I practically beg him to show

He shows A-A.

    Correct fold?

    Could/would you fold K-K there?

    He self-analyses as follows...

Hmm the Kings fold... It's close

The fact he's got AA doesn't necessarily mean it's right. So close. The players are

UTG- solid, done nothing out of line
    UTG1- been Very tight,
UTG 3- 55 year old, been tight

They're all playing about 500k, so the cold 4bet could definitely lead to him getting all in..

However, the factors against it are that we obviously more than 2.5x up, and that is a slightly smaller than normal min-cash

Really close . It would be results orientated to conclude that his hand makes it right. The only way to know the correct decision is to somehow know what his range is overall

That has to be the right fold.

I have folded KK once live. Ever. When, as here, tight opener, tight 3-bet, and really tight 4-bettor. And here it is a $15k bubble when staked as well.

Forget the 1st guy for a moment-the 2nd probably has a 10-155% chance of AA, and the 3rd has a 70% chance of AA. And if he does not (and he does not sound like a player with a squeeze play) what can he have? KK? Then there is the risk of 1 of the other 2 having AA. Plus, we are not that far ahead of AKs.

I'd fold. And beg and pray the guy showed me his AA to avoid tilt...

Fortunate that 4th to act here. Because almost certainly busto otherwise.

    100% correct fold*

*says the person who has a small % in him ;) = a % of the 10+ million for 1st place is greater than the % of zero.

FTR - only 1,517 players remain (out of 10, 043 entrants) and 1,507 get paid.

A £2 deepy am AI as quick as sh!t off a shovel, 10k WSOP on the bubble or close folding every day of the week
Question. Is my mindset wrong in the 2 quid deepy

No. The range of players there will be far, far wider. Never, ever folding KK in a £2 MTT (and next to never in a £2 qualifier).

Incidentally, I have held KK 4 times in the Main when people have 4-bet me. And it has all gone in 4 times. Won 3, lost 1.

I'm not a good player really but I think that I'm folding here. However as Sean already stated in a small stake mtt it's going in.
