    Makes me laugh really.

If I hear about an injuries or personal matters which will adversely affect performance at a sporting event, but that information is not in the public domain, and then use that information to make a huge sum of money via the markets, it's legal and I'm considered savvy.

But, if I apply the same set of circumstances to stocks, shares, derivatives, or forex etc. I am subject to criminal proceedings.

It's a bit like F1 in a way as nobody can gain an advantage without everybody else screaming foul.

Business is all about taking advantage of exploitative positions and opportunities, do it at Cabinet or ministerial level and you get a cushy perked filled existence, do it in a boardroom with tacit Government approval and you get a Knighthood, do it at a trading desk and you get a prison cell and a criminal record.

    Double standards.
