I was once a Professional. I appreciate that that is a word that gets over-used, particularly by people who will never be a Professional.
My profession was that of Lawyer-at differing times, a Solicitor and Barrister. I was not a "Left Wing Lawyer", a "Lefty Lawyer", a "Remainer" or all that other pony.
Because, in my Professional life, I was a Lawyer. My personal politics was irrelevant. I acted for some people on occasions that Nigel Farage regards as dangerously Right Wing (never mind what normal people might think of them). There were occasions when, personally, I secretly hoped that they might lose, but professionally, I did my best for them. Because that is what professionals do.
There are a few Lawyers out there that ponce around, only acting for causes they believe in. But the vast majority don't get to pick and choose their Clients. But do what they are paid to do-act for their Client. And put their personal feelings to one side.
So-he is not a "Pro-Remain Lawyer". He is a Lawyer. Who, like the vast majority of Lawyers, will put any personal feelings to one side, and act in the best interests of his Client.
