My wife tested positive for covid yesterday.
I dont need a test, I have felt rough for a few days, I have got it.
Our next door neighbour tested positive a couple of days ago, and I had run her up to the hospital a few times to see her husband.
So thats probably how we got it.
Unfortunately he died at the end of last week.
That was a shame because he was a nice bloke.
Getting back to Deliveroo.
We needed some stuff, and wouldnt be able to go shopping anytime soon.
This was further complicated, by three window cleaners turning up yesterday morning.
My wife insists on making them a coffee, and we were running out of milk.
I couldnt have left the house anyway, as I was expecting an engineer to install my new broadband.
I logged on to the internet to see if any solutions were possible.
Deliveroo came up.
They were offering deliveries from the local Co-op.
They promised that this would take as little as 20 minutes.
They also offered 12 months free deliveries for Prime members.
So I logged on to the Co-op tab on the Deliveroo site.
I was taken aback when I looked at the prices.
I wont go through them all.
The first thing I looked at was milk for obvious reasons.
They didnt have anything bigger than 2 pints, in skimmed milk, and this was £1.35.
I did an online order with Morrisons last week, and remembered some of the prices.
Four pints of skimmed milk was £1.45.
A 70cl bottle of Bacardi was £25.20.
I checked this on the Co-op website, where it was £19.
I bought a couple of these from Morrisons last week for £14 each.
No wonder they can do free deliveries.
Not sure how they get away with it.
I decided to pop up to Morrisons this morning for a click and collect order.
