Not sure but iirc bce removes the religious bit? Enjoying marymass?
Ah don't bother much with marymass any more, the folk scene is basically gone, used to be great turns in the pubs during the day, the parade is so so. didn't even go to the fireworks, ah heard the Derby is all ticket now because of the hoolits. Maybe its an age thing, ma mates are the same, used to be ma favourite time of the year, I'll be sitting in the hoose watchin the fitba.
Of course it just had to be the Jewish Academics. Give it another dozen years or so and there will be addendums to BCE and CE not out of any great revelation or understanding but simply because if you have 3 Jewish academics debating anything you will have at least 2 differing interpretations of the subject matter. Oy Vey.

If this BCE & CE was setup to de-Christianize the calendar its failed in my view.
The dividing period centres around the birth of Christ in both systems.

Both systems reference the Gregorian calendar. Invented by Jesuit priests who were Christians.
