    Let's turn this round.

Suppose a prominent pro-Palestinian leader is the person. Someone, say, being paid £100,000 a year to promote his cause. Who insists on walking towards a pro-Israel march while being dressed to emphasise that he is a Muslim. Who tries to push past the Police who are trying to ensure things don't get out of hand. Refuses the offer of safe passage to ensure that there is no violence.

Then imagine that a Policeman suggests that dressing in a manner to emphasise that the campaigner is antagonistic to the pro-Israel cause is not helping.

Now-who thinks that there would be an outcry saying the Commissioner should be sacked for failing to protect the campaigner?

    Thought not.

    Set up? Undoubtedly.

Not watching, precisely because of that.

This man is the Chief Executive of a Charity with vital, laudable aims-to stop antisemitism.

Decides, on the Sabbath, to both travel and carry out work. In a manner which may well increase the amount of money the Charity has in the Bank (currently £2.3 million) or increase their Employees (currently 7, earning £430k, top earner between 100-110k).

Can see considerable advantages to the Charity.

What I cannot see is how this will do anything other than increase antisemitic attacks. Or help the very people that the Charity is designed to help.

    GIDEON FALTER
    Chief Executive

Gideon was elected to lead Campaign Against Antisemitism in autumn 2014, soon after its establishment, building it into the UK’s foremost campaigning organisation against antisemitism.

Gideon has been at the forefront of Campaign Against Antisemitism’s mass-education work to expose and explain the dangers of antisemitism to the public, appearing regularly in the national and international media to stand up for British Jews.

He has been responsible for gathering together some of the most renowned lawyers in the UK to devise and execute an ambitious legal strategy that continues to change the law on antisemitism in Britain through landmark lawsuits both against notorious antisemites and the authorities when they fail to protect the Jewish community.

Gideon is also a forthright advocate for change in Westminster, leading Campaign Against Antisemitism’s work to strengthen Britain’s laws. He has spoken at the House of Commons and given evidence to parliamentary select committees. His work for Campaign Against Antisemitism has been publicly praised by the British Government.

The Algemeiner has awarded Gideon as one of the “top 100 people positively influencing Jewish life”, and the Simon Wiesenthal Center has hailed him as a “Jewish hero who proves that there are still powerful ways to leverage democratic rules to serve justice and protect Jewish community”.

Gideon has a degree in UK, French and European Union law, and has worked in high-tech, commercial real estate and management consultancy. In addition to his charitable work for Campaign Against Antisemitism, he also serves as Vice Chairman member of the Jewish National Fund UK.

He was trying to appear as a normal member of the public that just happened to be out for a stroll.
On Sky News, he suggested that he would be doing the same thing next Saturday, and invited other Jewish people to join him.

    Again, let's turn this round.

Suppose a leading Muslim Faith leader was leading a Charity to try and stop Islamophobia.

And his suggestion to reduce Islamophobia was to organise marches facing off at pro-Israeli marches. And to look as extremist as possible, while simultaneously urging Muslims to abandon their more traditional religious observance. While attacking the forces of Law and Order there to protect people from Islamophobic attacks.

He would be the person driving any increase in Islamophobia. And not serving the people his Charity was supposed to be helping.

The entire footage paints a very different picture.
Initial story about ‘openly Jewish’ incident not full picture, says ex-senior Met officer

Footage released by the Campaign Against Antisemitism (CAA) last Friday showed its chief executive, Gideon Falter, being told by a police officer that his “openly Jewish” appearance risked antagonising pro-Palestinian marchers. This precipitated claims Falter was prevented from going about his business simply because he was a Jewish man in the vicinity of a pro-Palestinian demonstration.

But a longer version of the same exchange has since emerged on Sky News, showing the officer explaining that his concern was that he had seen Falter acting in a way that led him to believe he was trying to provoke a confrontation with marchers.

Related: What does a longer video of the exchange between Met officer and antisemitism campaigner tell us?

That fuller account showed “a totally different encounter to the one that Mr Falter has reported”, said the former Scotland Yard chief superintendent Dal Babu on Monday.

His comments came as the prime minister, Rishi Sunak, said he retained confidence in the Metropolitan police commissioner, Sir Mark Rowley, but the latter needed to rebuild “confidence and trust” with the Jewish community.

While Babu said the “openly Jewish” comment was “not acceptable”, he told BBC Breakfast that the longer clip showed Falter “attempting to go against the march, trying to push past the officers, and I think for 13 minutes the officers showed great restraint”.

Babu added: “They offered to take him to a crossing point, they offered to help him and the group he was with the opportunity to cross at a more appropriate place. So the narrative that’s been pushed for the past few days is not accurate.

“Personally, if I was policing that march, I would have been inclined to have arrested [Falter] for assault on a police officer and breach of the peace.”

In the shorter CAA version of the footage, Falter could be seen on the fringes of the march in central London earlier this month, wearing a kippah and trying to pass police officers so he could cross the demonstration’s path to get to the other side of the street.

Gideon Falter was trying to walk across the road while a pro Palestinian march was going on with bodyguards and a film crew, now tell me ,was he really trying to just cross the road or was he trying to incite

Incidently our Gov't trying to defend him whilst making the police officer look bad is utterly utterly shambolic but typical of the Gov't today
