is this against tocs?

DoublemeDoubleme Member Posts: 2,150
in todays elimintor free roll surely this should not be allowed trying to influece play during a hand by advising another player has to be against toc?

Give the full context and post the full conversation, he was deliberately slowing the game down and I told him he wouldn't make it to the next ladder up.

not been funny but I dont think I was on your table earlier enough to do that. Dozza its a bit gamey of you I know its an obvious call you know its an obvious call most of us do. But he may not have done and you tried to influence play by instructing players the correct move when it was in your interest.

I mean how far do we go with this is breaking down a players range and pointing out hes likely bluffing on a final table so the other guy calls and you jump a place okay then?

Yes you were on the table earlier when I said that, we had been on the same table for quite a while. He kept running the timer down to zero which I understood so he can ladder up to a fiver, but he had very little chance of laddering up again and I made that clear to him in the chat before you posted the very end of the conversation.

If you're involved in the hand it's perhaps understandable.

If you're not in the hand then it's very bad etiquette.

Well of course I was in the hand and wanted a call, it was speech play and it happens in games all over the world. I have never commented on a hand which I am not involved in, so doubleme's dumb example about commenting on a hand to ladder up on a final table is completely invalid when it comes to me.

Anyway, I have checked the eliminator leaderboard and have found out doubleme's motive for trying to get me into trouble. This is all about him/her trying to ladder up on the final leaderboard and get himself/herself an extra ticket. Honestly, it's the most pathetic thing I've ever seen by anyone in 15 years of playing on this site. They should be embarrassed by their actions tonight.

A lot of people don't know about table etiquette or can forget in the heat of battle. I've been guilty of that a fair few times. Normally a simple "hey, you may not know it but what you just did is considered bad etiquette" works.

One example most people don't know is that when table starting, you should sit exactly opposite the other player. You'll get regs Jesus seating the table starter, which is bad form.

I could understand if a player was mentioning his cards in a £110 game, but a bit a chit chat in a free roll is acceptable in my book. Some people deliberately play the clock to annoy others at their table or to get blinds to increase (I am guilty of doing it myself M'lord). If i am low stacked i do the opposite of what that guy did, and i just chuck my chips in when i see a 3/4 others putting their chips in, especially if there has been a big raise. Hanging on for a fiver has never been my approach, as £5 is not gonna change my bank account. I like your style Dozza, and good luck if you qualify for some decent events.

so when I was at work and got a 10/15 minute smoke break very close to the start of the eliminator free roll I had only one play. Shove all in every single hand.

That may sound bad play and it is but see the situation is I cant play I can either just hope I get a good hand and get all the chips in by playing normally, which is not too likely in 10 minutes and then I either pretty much get fired by saying wait I got to play this out, or some bollucking. or I just leave it to blind out.

By shoving all in every hand I can may suck out with J6 against AK or 99 or suck out with q3 against or 42 or etc.

obviously in this spot I am also shoving AA I am shoving everything. I had @tonyp142 on my table and for some reason despite the fact I had shoved 11 times in a row or something like that he raises 3 x and folds to my shove. Asleep at the will or not noticing because lots of tables I dont know.

Do you think I was tempted to type in the chat I am shoving every single hand so call me to give me at least a slight chance in a point?

but I didn't because I thought that would be against the rules. Though not sure if chat is functional on mobile version but if it is can I do that then?

can I say in the chat I am shoving every single hand so it probs makes sense to call me of with k9?

I mean happy to have 83 off suit all in there because suck out=point try play seriously = likely no points.

That's fine, if I'm on tilt I will sit at a table and tell everybody that I'm shoving and calling pretty much at random.

Even better if you get a couple through and show the Ainsworth or 3 8 off.
