Afternoon.
Well the big day arrived & overall it went pretty well. Guarantees (£48,000) & schedule were identical to Day 1 of last year's Autumn UKOPS, last year Prize Pools amounted to £58,730, last night came in at £64,080, so a 9% y-o-y uplift.
On we go then. I've done it a little different today, with the write-ups shown separately for each event.

The curtain-raiser went the way of @Drewett. Has a very solid CV, in the last year alone he's made the Major FT 8 times - 2 x 1st, 1 x 2nd, 3 x 4th & twice x 6th.
Runner-up @Granite89 is a previous SPT Vegas winner & you know all about him.
Thursday's Mega winner @bisgas80 was 4th with Dog Bloke 6th.

@destinycod took the High Roller, & I must admit I was pleased to see it. I've shared a few "Live" tables with Ben & he's THE most awkward opponent, he's as likely to turn up with 7-2 as a Premium holding & he plays with a smile, even if he does not always show it. He really is tremendous fun to share a table with. It was his biggest win so far on Sky Poker, though he's had some chunky results in the Live arena including two 5-figure cashes. Deceptively good player imo.
2nd was @GSmith13 who is one of the few players on Sky Poker to have two or more £10,000+ cashes on the site, though one of them was a Vegas package in the day when we did the WSOP Main. If he had won last night, it would have been his 4th UKOPS HR victory, he's been 2nd twice too.
3rd was @stack_u which means he's made this FT two years on the bounce, as he was 6th last year.
Not too many would have been pleased to see @Tedson show up, he ran 6th, he's an absolute UKOPS beast, with 4 wins in last year's Autumn UKOPS.
A huge result for @lurcher in 4th too. As befits a High Roller, & with the glorious exception of @Swog (5th) it was a FT unencumbered by mediocrity.

In the £15,000 Main, @neenio came out best. Interestingly he booked a win on Day 1 last year too, when he won the£4,000 UKOPS 1. Based on Sharky numbers. last night's win takes him above £100,000 profit on Sky Poker, with a 43.3% ROI, which compares with 42% this time last year.
Runner-up, to the surprise of many - not the least him - was the irrepressible @HAYSIE, & as it happens, Sharky give him slightly over £100,000 profit too. He gets plenty of stick - much of it from me - and the big boys find him "awkward" (as does his wife I imagine) but he plays his own game his own way. Playing different does not necessarily mean "bad". Poker strategy goes through fashions - opening raise sizes MUST be 2.2, we must/must not limp or whatever - but that's plain wrong. When we face a player who does the unexpected, it makes us uncomfortable, & uncomfortable is good. Yes, they may be bad, but not necessarily. Obv, @HAYSIE is bad though.
4th was @67912092 who is an interesting one. Only plays £110 events, & in the last 3 weeks he's now played 3 of them, finishing 4th last night, 4th in last Sunday's Major, & 2nd in the Major the previous week. Best stick him on the "watch list".

I was staggered to see this made so much, but when I checked it was some way less than last year, which topped £7,300.
1st place went to the highly rated @Hoff92. He won a Major a few months ago, but maybe his best claim to fame is winning the Hitman Main which had the biggest ever prizepool - £19,400 - which was at the height of Boomlet.
Delighted to see @aynaricol do so well in 2nd. She has already won three UKOPS events, including the Day 1 UKOPS 07 on the same day last year. And in the 2021 Xmas UKOPS she had her best ever score when winning a UKOPS Mini for the best part of £1,100.
3rd was @Thoich, whilst @reeler was 6th as well as enjoying a deep run in the Main.

@Shrimpy28 took this, one of only three events he played last night so a good start for the Big Man. On the same night last year he ran 7th in the HR, and a few days later he ran 3rd in a UKOPS £15,000 Main, so a repeat of that would be handy & pay for Xmas pressies for his shoal of mini-shrimps.
2nd was the highly rated @aj880 with Mean Machine 3rd, he also ran 2nd in the HR.
@Jac35 had a disappointingly early exit in the Main, which was a Elim Fr freebie, but restored some pride with 5th here, a spot ahead of @benc who is a serial Mega winner.

What a Heads Up this must have been with @FeelGroggy coming out best in the Heads Up v the mighty @Tedson. Groggs is not really a MTT regular but he has a glittering CV, including wins in a Super Sunday Main & a Super Roller, & of course several Vegas packages and a Punta Cana package.
@Tedson was 2nd as well as 6th in the HR & 8th in the Turbo.
in 3rd was @Tastysnack who has the extraordinary record of finishing 2nd in the Major 4 times in the last 4 months.
5th was @bigfatfish and @benc made it two 6th places on the spin as he was 6th in UKOPS 05 too.

The father & son combo of @Limp2Lose & @StayOrGo had a shocker in the Main both exiting super early, but consolation here for Gary as he takes UKOPS 07, having been 6th in the UKOPS Main on the same night last year.
@BIGBOB62 has only been here a month, won Summit earlier this week & was 2nd here. Stick him in the tracker.
2nd in the opening UKOPS 01, @Granite89 was 3rd here.
@BillyPckle @Arrogant & @MikeyW94 made up the final 6.
