Question for the cash grinders

RashnikovRashnikov Member Posts: 9
What sort of points could one expect to get as an average per day grinding say 6 tables at 10c/20c to 15c/30c cash nl. So 48 table hours per day?

It depends on your style of play, but I 9-table those stakes with some 50nl thrown in and average about 120 points per hour. I table start as well, with short-handed play earning extra points - so factor that in if you don't table start.

6-tabling those stakes may not be possible on Sky for 8 hours per day. 7pm-1am probably is, fewer at other times of day.

If you're thinking about grinding long hours, be careful that you maximise your win rate (obviously). Take regular breaks and ideally keep sessions less than two hours. Mostly avoid reg battling, unless you enjoy the challenge. Learn when to quit and play the number of tables where you aren't bored but but also not auto-piloting decisions.

You'll find the cash games here are the softest around during peak times. I look forward to battling you, once my busy work period is over 😁

Thanks for the response, that's solid advice. I was hoping to make about 2000 points per day but that obviously seems very unrealistic. I find the games are soft full stop, outside a few regs like yourself ofc. i was just considering it but seems like making 1700 quid a month at break even isn't as easy as i thought haha (60k points per month that would be)

    You're welcome.

2,000 points would be about £330 in rake at cash games, so definitely out of reach unless it's a good promo period. 50k points would bag you about £2.7k per month in rakeback but well out of reach. I wrote about the rakeback rates at different weekly thresholds here:

If your goal is to make £2k per month, a realistic goal for 6-tabling would be £15 per hour with high variance. That includes rakeback and promos. If you're smart enough to beat the micros for that win rate though, you would be far better served financially in the course of your lifetime by getting into a profession.
