Afternoon.

UKOPS Fridays always have hefty guarantees compared to mid-week & so it was last night, with a guaranteed £46,000 on offer. Continuing the trend all Series, prize pools at £60,850 were up on last year (£56,420), though that's only (only?) 8%, a smaller uplift than most of the week. Still, the streak of guarantees hit continues and now stands at 51/51.

@ChipDiddy0 got the ball rolling. Despite missing the first 3 days of the Series, he's now made three FT's & won two of them. In all, he's now won 6 UKOPS Events, one of which was a HR in which he beat @hughjarse9 heads up. (Wonder what happened to him?). He's won two Majors too.

Runner-up was @SneakyWolf who was playing his first MTT here since late August. It was his 2nd biggest cash ever, beaten only by his win in a Mini UKOPS worth £1,350 3 years ago.

After taking the day off on Day 7, joint leaderboard leader @destinycod returned & started well with a 4th place here, sadly that was his sole points scored all night.

Looking back to last year, @TEDSON took this, and that was his fourth win of that Series. This Series? Just three FT's so far, finishing 6th, 2nd & 5th. Variance is real, even for the very best players.

This time it was @67912092 who emerged on top. Is a very big & good cash player, has only played 86 MTT's in 6 years, but an ABI of £92.46 is a clue.

@Tastysnack is making a habit of finishing 2nd - he's done so 4 times in the Major in the last few months & yet to win it, & another runner-up spot here. Even so, the £2,700 he trousered last night was his best ever score.

@JCordy collected £1,550 in third, not bad considering he was in for free, having got the lot in the Elim Freerolls. He was also 4th in Event 40, so those free entries have netted him £2,500 so far, & there's still 2 days to come. Nice.

In 6th & making his 6th FT of the Series was @T_Bundy who is doing very well in the Leaderboard.

A cracking win here for @tonyp142, & later in the evening he ran 5th in the Hyper. Has a solid CV, including wins in the Major (twice) & BWBH.

@GSmith13 began the day as joint leader of the Leaderboard & done himself no harm at all running 2nd here, his sixth FT of the Series - 2nd, 2nd, 2nd, 3rd, 5th & 6th. No wins though. Yet.

In 3rd was @sam1234 who has a UKOPS win on his CV though his PB was 3rd in an SPT Online for north of £5,000.

@LittleLulu who has only been here two weeks was chippie for a long time before eventually finishing 6th. Qualified via the £22 Semi that ran at 6pm, so £763 is a tidy return.

Astonishing, the £5,000 Mini made a whopping £8,300, though in fact it made slightly more last year, £8,450.

Perhaps even more remarkable, the winner was @momo123299 & last night was the first time they've played an MTT here since 30th April. Welcome back etc. Easily their biggest score here too.

@Natnug would be the first to admit he's had a bad UKOPS & only had two FT's to his credit before winning this one. Sharky reckons he's the most profitable MTT-er on the site so far this year, & he was top of the table last year too so there's not much wrong with his game, but when you catch the wrong side of variance there's not much you can do except grin & bear it. Truth is, no matter how good you may be at the poker, variance will come knocking sooner or later, & maybe he was due. Hopefully the tide will turn for him now, as he's taken it all without chuntering or finger-pointing.

Good FT too, with @Sharki0 2nd & @whitters95 3rd.

@Curt360x27 ran third in the super-Mini earlier, then booked the win here. Has several lovely results on his CV, including wins in PRIMO & the Major. In 2017 he won something called "£10,000 B/Hunter Champion HR W2" but I have no recollection at all of what exactly that was.

Wannabe Celebrity Chef @LmfaoAllin was a fine 2nd. He has designs on winning tonight's UKOPS PLO. Good luck with that.

Yea lots of deeps runs quite a few 10th and 11ths, think should be near top of laderboard when it is published, a win in next two days should put me in contention for 1st
