It is hard to know what to think at the end of this. It is impossible to understand how the jury reached the unanimous decision that they did. One of the jury members appears throughout.

At the time they did the documentary, I think he had done 44 years in jail. He was sentenced to 20 years for a rape that he was caught bang to rights for. They subsequently charged him for a murder. This was obviously pre dna. He had three trials. He received a death sentence. The woman was raped and murdered in her apartment. They had no physical evidence. Just some unreliable eye witness testimony. There were other similar murders that they didnt link, committed after he was banged up. They took cuttings of the victims pubic hair. When dna testing became available, the prosecution said the samples were lost. Some years later they were found. When they tested them they found sperm samples that belonged to someone else.

I watched all 3 Episodes of that. What a shock the ending was when the "RIP" thing came up on the Ep 3 credits.
He died on Monday, Ep 3 was Tuesday.
Seemed a proper solid bloke, very brave.
So so sad.

@HAYSIE
Absolutely, her actions - on the face of it & as described - were inexcusable, she was a "reverse informant".
They had plenty of evidence.
Yet it seems she is still on the force.
Incredible.
@HAYSIE
100% agree. There must be more to the story then they are letting on. She was caught bang to rights.
Worth a watch.
