So this year I am doing computational maths and this involves using a program called python. Now python is a mathematical computer programming language it was not made with poker in mind but it can be used for poker math and some people have used it for such.
In theory if I knew what I was doing to a sufficient level I could program it for Real Time assistance. However since I am the very definition of a beginner with this software and that would be advanced stuff I could not in actuality use it to aid me with poker during live play or away from the tables.
So if I am using Python whilst working on my course with the odd table or two going on sky is this allowed or against the rules? I mean I suppose Excel sheets word and pages etc could all be used for RTA as well but I dont think these are banned.
I assume this would only be against the rules if I actually had poker stuff in such programs eg if I am using Python to solve a mathematical problem related to my course whilst having the odd table or two open on sky I assume this would not be against the rules but can I clarify this as this will be relevant until mid June for me.

The assumption in your final paragraph is correct.
I dont know if sky poker do or do not but I think its always better to just check if something is an issue and not risk my account been banned if it is, rather then going meh they prolly wont know anyway.
