Afternoon.
This day last year;
"Despite the World Cup continuing, numbers were surprisingly robust last night, following the pattern set on Monday. Sunday's nasty numbers are rapidly fading in the rear-view mirror, but Saturday, when England play France, looms ever nearer, & it'll be a bad night for online poker for sure.
Last night's £4,000 Gold Rush Main came in at £5,370 and it was a fish on fish heads up, with @fishhhhh getting the better of @fish369. That's a very decent 48 hours for fishhhhh, as he was 2nd in Sunday's Major for ~£2,000 & last night's win added another £1,100+ to his bulging coffers. Runner-up fish369 was single-tabling this, having been MIA for over two weeks prior to last night, & he was attempting to win Gold Rush Main for the 2nd time in as many months.
@Ramoerrr began this month by winning Sheriff & Turbo on the same night. Did pretty well last night too with a lovely 1-2-3 - 1st in the Mini, 2nd in Summit, 3rd in Turbo.
In the Sunday Major 48 hours earlier @Morris707 was 5th & @JamesPond1 was 7th, & these two clashed again in last night's Summit, with @JamesPond1 securing the win and @Morris707 in 3rd. @Morris707 seems to be on the upgrade, in the last month he's final-tabled 3 x £110 MTT's (UKOPS Main, Major & Summit) finishing 3rd, 4th & 5th.
@robin1955 made a clean breast of the Mega, with @Tastysnack, who is rapidly becoming omnipresent in these threads, in 2nd place.
Quickdraw fell to @mildsteal0 who was 2nd to Bad Jumper at an SPT in Manchester a few years ago. Was good to see a rare visit to the Sky Poker MTT tables last night by @destinycod who played 5 events with his best result being 2nd here.
Finally, in the PLO8 it was Wolf in Sheep's Clothing @tomgoodun who got the lot. Some fun aliases in that one, with @rutalkin2m in 2nd & @PASSASPLIF 3rd."

Despite some decent Premier League football on TV, including the Arsenal, numbers were ok, with Gold Rush Main making £5,880, just shy of 10% up y-o-y. The standout MTT was the £1,000 Quickdraw which came in at an eye-popping £1,920.
@Damon8 took the Main. After taking around 8 years to get to £10,000 profit he's had a wonderful year & more than doubled his profit despite relatively low volume, taking almost 5 months for his last 100 MTT's. Last night was his 7th Main Event triumph, including no less than 4 Sharpshooters & 2 Avengers. Maybe he's a Thursday/Saturday sort, as he's also won 2 Avenger Minis & a Sharpy Mini. 2nd was @FeelGroggy. It's good to see Groggs playing more MTT's but he's been hitting the post a lot, in the last week or so he's been 2nd in a Main & a Sheriff, & 3rd in two Mains & a Summit. 3rd was @claudel9 who has played just 1 MTT since 11th November. He was also 2nd in the Rebuy BH & 3rd in Reload, plus he satted into the Main for £7.20. Good to see him back. @Limp2lose, who won Quickdraw on Sunday, was 4th. @chkngeorge won his seat in the MML & managed 6th for £166, hardly life-changing money but nice when it's off the back of a Sky Poker freebie.
In the Mini we saw a real blast from the past as @mabsue took the win. Been here - on & off - almost since day one. Back in the days of the TV Show, LML & myself took a film crew down to South Wales to meet him & his family. I used to love those occasional "specials" we did, & it's such a shame that all the videos have been removed from You Tube for regulatory & Compliance reasons. Our one-time Viva Las Vegas last-longerist @boggo was 2nd, just 48 hours after running 4th in Sunday's Mini Major.
@MikeyW94 continues to be in splendid form, from just 5 MTT's played he won Summit, 2nd in Turbo & 6th in Quickdraw.
What's in an Alias? Well in the 7 @ 7 @lennonono took top spot. The alias tells us a great deal, clearly a Beatles fan & presumably not a youngster either, maybe a similar age to me. I'm just guessing of course, but it's nice to Imagine.
Toughest FT of the night was probably the Turbo, where @NChanning applied his guile to guide himself to the win from a super-strong field. I'm very much hoping we'll see him at the weekend in Manchester.
Must give mention to @tonyp142 who made FIVE FT's (3rd, 4th, 4th, 5th & 6th) and also won a Main Event seat in a £7.20 sat. Impressive stuff, though I'm sure he'll be a little disappointed not to manage a win. Such is human nature.
To the 9 @ 9 goes the dubious honour of the only featured MTT to miss guarantee, albeit only be 3 entries. In taking the win @Kyocera nets their maiden featured MTT victory.
