Afternoon.
This day last year
It was "cold weather busy" last night. Very cold, very busy. The bitter weather is expected to last into next week, & with it the high volume online poker traffic. Saturday excepted, of course, when England play France. We had lots of "strangers" doing well too, which was good to see.
Quite a surprise in the Main as @Hsgshsnshs (that's 10 consonants & zero vowels - what's all that about?) turned up after a 10 day absence, won a seat in the 6pm Semi, then single tabled to the win which was worth £1,207. That's Christmas sorted in the Hsgshsnshs household. It was a very tough FT too, featuring the likes of @Fabraclass @GFKIJKLL @Super_Oli @cpfc_2010 & @Arrogant.
It was a different story in the Mini, with @reeler who is in his 11th year here taking the win.
It quite cheered me up to see @waller02 have a decent session after being AWOL for a few days. He won the Mega, was 4th in the £1k BH, 6th in 7 @ 7, and 3rd in a little Freezeout. Nice one Ryan.
There was an impressive double of sorts for @SLANLEAT who took last night's £1k Rebuy BH having won the regular £1k BH the previous night. He does well in those two as well as 7 @ 7, so he's a bit of an early-evening specialist.
Reload went to @SPYROS47 for at least the third or 4th time this year.
The 10pm Turbo came in at £1,680 last night, way above it's run-rate, with another stranger coming out on top, @Blainaboys this time. Looks like a PB to me.
We finish today with another very interesting stranger, @Mar18. Only joined Sky Poker last night, & played 5 MTT's, winning two of them - MidEx, plus a £500 BH. Played 5, Won 2, that's quite the start. Definitely one to keep an eye on.

Bit of a truncated write-up today, as I'm prepping to go up to Manchester tomorrow & have loads of assorted stuff to sort in readiness for 3 nights away from home.
Bit of a bloodbath last night, with 7 of the featured MTT's missing guarantee. As an example, the £5,000 Main came in at £4,470 pre-guarantee, so £530 overlay, & some 22% worse than last year. We don't need to look far for the reason though, last night had the best 6 match Premier League schedule all season, with all 6 games televised live am Amazon PRIME. Sky Bet were loving life, Sky Poker not so much. Fair play to Sky Poker for holding the guarantees when they knew full well they were in for a black eye.
@Limp2Lose took the Main. He's been playing a lot more MTT's here this month & seems to be doing just fine. He was 1st in Monday's Quickdraw, 2nd in last night's Quickdraw, & 4th in Tuesday's Main. Solid form that especially as he mainly plays cash games. @Thoich is on a terrific run, won Sunday's Major (£3,600), 2nd in Monday's Main (£600), 2nd in last night's Main (£57). @bbMike played around a dozen £1.80 All-In Sats, won two of them, then ran 3rd in the Main for a very useful £400.
@jedinemo took the Mini & was back on site this morning in time to win a £150 Turbo BH. Keen.
9 @ 9 has not been running all that long - less than a year for sure - & @hhammerhea won it for the 7th time last night. Jon seems to stick to what he knows best & does very nicely indeed. 5th was @BEANIE who won Reload the previous night.
@beaky is not a player who gets too many mentions but he took down Reload. In September he won the £1k BH twice on consecutive nights.
The opener went to @Piol22 who was 4th in Monday's Mini. Note who was 5th - @DOHHHHHHH. Great to see he's still around. Hope he's OK.
Time constraints means that's it for today. Note that as I'll be up at the SPT, there will only be "Lite" versions Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon, with normal service, such as it is, resuming on Tuesday.
