Was playing the all in sats last night for the sheriff and had regged for the tourney with the intention of unregistering if I was lucky enough to win one (I eagerly await the trolling for this heinous crime)
One unfortunate phone call from the good lady later and not paying attention I am playing the Sheriff doh.
Fair enough as last time I did this I luckboxed a win but normally I do not consider myself good enough to play this these days and it finishes way past my bedtime.
So after luckily getting one bounty I make a big mistake and bust ,so I frustratedly close the lid on the laptop swear a few times and hypothetically kick the cat (i don't have a cat) .
I then open up the lid on the laptop put in my password to close everything down and find out I am still playing Sheriff with a new stack so have somehow re-entered despite not clicking the mouse or any buttons on the laptop so confused on how this is even possible.
I never re-enter after I bust as for me doing that is almost always negative EV as I do not play optimally after being knocked out.
Obviously I busted again in a short time.
In the past I have mistakenly re-entered the 8pm main a couple of times by accidently clicking confirm instead of exit as for some reason my brain thought that I was confirming that I was leaving the tourney would be interested if others have done the same and feel it should be a two step process to re-enter to make it more error proof, this would also have stopped what happened last night occurring.

Not to dismiss the whole point of your post, but I can't help but feel there's an interesting discussion to be had here....
"and hypothetically kick the cat (i don't have a cat)."
I'm wondering if that should read...
"kicked the hypothetical cat"
wordsmithness
Excellent. Love seeing new words.
I did this a few years back, i think it was the Sunday major that I wont entry to.
When I was eliminated a pop up offered me re-entry which I clicked yes before I knew what the box was actually offering.
I was mortified -but didn't play a hand, I got in touch with customer services and they reimbursed me the £200 or whatever it was the next morning.
After this scare as a safety measure, when I find myself playing a high buy in event, which is rare, very rare, i usually withdraw my balance to below they buy-in so I cant make the same mistake.
