There is some dissent within Christian communities about people who don't believe in god celebrating Christmas so I thought I'd chuck my twopenneth in.
When I first became a Christian I had similar reservations and conversations with non believers would go thus.
Me, " ok so you don't believe in God but you celebrate Christmas"
Person, "Yes what's the problem"
Me, "Well, I don't believe in violence but I'm going to punch you in the face"
Person, "That's a bit contrary".
Me, "Touche matey, think on it"
However as I have evolved and grown on my journey I have come to appreciate that family and friends coming together and celebrating in an atmosphere of love and joy is the real message so now the conversation goes thus.
Me, "Ok so you don't believe in God but you celebrate Christmas"
Person, " Yes, what's the problem".
Me, "No problem friend, god bless you and yours and may all you wish for come true"
So everybody, whether you are with Christ or not, have a great Christmas, a peaceful New Year and may all you wish for be yours.
Sincerely.
Mark
