Morning, & a Merry Christmas to you all.

For obv reasons, just a very brief round-up today.

This day last year

"As might be expected on Xmas Day, traffic was decidedly thin, & there were some hefty overlays for the value hunters to get stuck in to in the Main & £5k BH, though almost everything else did OK.

There was a sensational result in the Major, when @AnielJ took the win to complete a terrific 24 hours, having run 3rd in Saturday's Sharpshooter Main. Has been here 8 years & 6,000 MTT's without troubling the scorers in featured MTT's then featured twice in 24 hours including the Major. Amazingly, never entered last night's Major until around 22.33, very close to the end of Late Reg, & in fact was the last but one entry. Splendid stuff. In 3rd was @Ferret17 who was another surprise package. Mid-evening he had a monster chip lead, more than treble the player in 2nd. Not sure they've ever shown that level of form before.

A much more predictable outcome in the Mini, with @hazelwoo05 & @TONY509 dominating affairs.

The £5k BH went to @69winsalot who has some very decent form including a Major win last year. 2nd was @ffbuwliens who has been making FT's for fun this week, and was also 6th in MidEx.

@luckme002 has been mostly AWOL this month but put a full shift in last night & managed to take down MidEx.

The 19.18 PLO8 missed guarantee (albeit only by one entry), that's the first time it's missed that I can recall. @pocket who finished 7th & 4th in his previous 2 attempts got his deserved win, with the enigmatic @county in 2nd.

In the opening £1k BH @Richrash93 blitzed the field, taking 23 Bounties, while @MAXALLY took slightly fewer on his way to 3rd.

That's it for today, there's sport galore to watch & before it starts I'm off to the driving range to try & thrash a bucket of balls to all points of the compass."

Very hard to predict Xmas Eve traffic, & it was certainly mixed last night. The £6k BH, Major & Mini Major all missed by an absolute mile, whereas everything else did just fine & seemed to indicate a normal night.

@Granite89 played exactly one MTT - the Major - & won it. I was quite surprised to note it's only the 2nd time he's won it. His best two results here lifetime are both for coming 2nd in High Rollers, being £7,400 for 2nd in a £500 UKOPS HR in 2015, & £4,000 for 2nd n a Super Roller the previous year. Been to Vegas with us regularly too, & won the Vegas SPT one year. 3rd last night was Dog Bloke @rspca12 with Palace Bloke @cpfc_2010 in 5th. A tremendous effort by @jbell017 who won a £24 satellite then ran 2nd for £1,980, easily their best cash here lifetime as far as I can tell. Nice result in 14th for £264 by @rabdeniro who won his seat via the Sunday Major Freeroll on Wednesday, well done Rabby.

@elvisg1972 won the Mini Major, but as he's not on Sharky, there's not much I can tell you, except that I am pretty sure he has won all 7 Minis, which is quite an achievement. Has won Reload more times than enough too.

The £6k BH winner @KEVMAC10 is another who is not on Sharky so again, there's not much I can tell you, except this is almost certainly a PB.

We rarely see mention of @Pedalpower but he won 7 @ 7 last night for the 2nd time in 18 months, these being his only two featured MTT wins.

In the Mega, top spot went to @shire40 for an amazing 14th time. Goodness me, that's going some.

A thread debut for 9 @ 9 winner @Jackiefire though worth noting has only played 44 MTT's in their 8 months or so here.

@jlgcusan had not played an MTT here since September 2022 until making a surprise re-appearance last night & winning Turbo. 3rd was @NChanning who was also 3rd in Sheriff. I was thinking about him last night, we really ought to feature him in Channel Island Discs, I just need to brush up on my Roy Plumley impressions.

Finally, nice to see my good mate @TimmyRaRa take MidEx again. Again? He's won that one at least a dozen times, & these days that's about the only MTT he plays.

That'll have to do for today - enjoy your Christmas Day, I'm off to prepare & cook my Christmas dinner. Num num.
