"Xmas UKOPS Day 4 was the best day of the series, with 6 of the 7 events covering, & only the High Roller missing - by just one entry. A satisfying end.
The session started with an £8,000 BH, quite an optimistic guarantee so it was good to see it make £8,610. Our winner was @69winsalot who ended the year in great style, collecting ~£1,550 to add to the £1,250 they collected for winning the £5,000 BH on Christmas Day, 6 days earlier. In 2021 they won a Sunday Major from a freeroll entry, so there's some solid results on the CV. @wineli, who does so well at SPT's, was 2nd.
After a 2 week absence, @Tedson turned up last night & promptly won the High Roller. By my reckoning, he has now won around 5 UKOPS High Rollers, been 2nd 3 times, and won 5 or 6 Majors. Also won a £10,000 Viva Las Vegas package in 2017. His Sharky stats are eye-watering, over a 2,000 game sample he has an average stake of £63 & an average profit of £60, with a 97 rating. Just imagine that, on average, every time he plays an MTT here he makes £60 profit. Ridiculously good, and a really pleasant individual too. @IllPerkins was 2nd, having already run 3rd in the UKOPS 03 Main on Day One. Arguably the best performance was @SCOTFOX who won their seat in a Freeroll on Boxing Day & after leading the field for much of the night, eventually finished 5th for ~£1,200.
Bragging rights for being winner of a UKOPS Main went to @TONY509 and it was not his first big UKOPS win either, he's won every Main & Mini, including the Major, most of them several times. Joined Sky Poker in September 2007 so he's in his 16th year here. @reelerhad a great run, finishing a fine 4th for over £2,000 which I'm sure he'll be delighted with. @Natnug who is in a tight battle with Crushy to win the Sharky 2022 Sky Poker MTT Leaderboard was 6th.
The Mini was taken by @cash123 who is in their 11th year here & this was their 2nd best result of the 7,500 games played, beaten only by an Avenger Main win in 2017.
@Big_Shi z has not played an MTT for almost 5 months until last night's UKOPS 24, which he won, so that was a nice return. He then celebrated by playing a trio of £100 Heads Up games. 3rd for £200 was @MAXALLY, using a free entry he won in a Forum Comp, which is always good to see.
UKOPS25 went to Crushy, @loololollo which might be significant in the Leaderboard battle with @Natnug. He was also 5th in UKOPS 26. I believe Nathan had slightly the better of it last night, as he was 6th in the Main for £1,120, but this is going to go right down to the wire tonight. GL to both of them.
Quite interesting how MTT numbers mirror the previous year. Last year's UKOPS Day 4 saw 6 of the 7 events cover, & it was rinse repeat last night.
The opener, an £8,000 BH that came in at £8,970, went to @Limp2Lose. He's had a very decent December here, in addition to last night's win he took down a Predator BH 3 weeks ago, been 2nd in BWBH, & made no less than 5 Quickdraw FT's, finishing 1st, 2nd, 4th, 4th & 5th. It's been 6 months almost to the day since @LHF played an MTT here, but they showed up last night & single-tabled all the way to 2nd place & £1,002. In 3rd was @SoLack, he was also 3rd in the High Roller & won a seat to the Main via a £3 All-In satellite. On Day 1 he was 3rd in the UKOPS 01 Rebuy, so that's quite a record - he made three FT's, finishing 3rd each time.
@newdaddy took down the High Roller. Pretty much only plays £100 & £200 events here these days, so played just 7 MTT's this series, of which 6 were £110 or £220 entry. He has THE most amazing record in the Sunday Major, having made the FT no less than 18 times but has yet to win it. (2nd 6 times, 3rd 5 times, 4th twice, 5th 5 times). No surprises in 2nd or 3rd, which went to @cabbaz &@SoLack respectively. @GoldNug22won his seat in a £48 satellite & turned it into a 4th place finish worth £1,580. He won a High Roller in the Autumn UKOPS you may recall. @Morris707 was missing the first 3 nights but showed up last night & did very nicely, 5th in this, 4th in the Mini, & away from UKOPS was 2nd in 9 @ 9 & 3rd in a £500 Mega.
The £30,000 UKOPS Main fell to @winn10 & it may not be a name you snap recognize, but it was his third (& far & away biggest) UKOPS title. Does not play cash but has a ridic ROI in MTT's. The rest of the FT were all familiar faces, with @bromley04 having a terrific result in 2nd, followed by @roddy28@alancarr12@KOBAYASHI & @Sharki0. What a UKOPS @roddy28has had, 2 wins, a 2nd & a 3rd, those 4 results being worth some ~£5,500. Very few can better that.
@Super_Oli took the Mini to secure his 2nd UKOPS title, the first being a High Roller 3 years ago. Palace Bloke @cpfc_2010 was runner-up & his team won 3-1 so he was a happy bunny. It's good to see @peter27 back on the site after an absence of a few months, & he made two UKOPS FT's, this, & UKOPS 19, finishing 6th in both. @Morris707, 5th in the High Roller, went one spot better here.
UKOPS 24 Mega was won by @bakersdoze, and it was his 4th FT of the series, finishing 2nd, 5th & 6th in the other three. 2nd was @Thoich who later went on to run 4th in the Hyper. @bar4004 who won a £1k BH earlier this week was 5th.
There was a very predictable result in UKOPS 25 Turbo, with @seikus getting home ahead of@Steed432 & @AlexaAJ. @pooochy who won the Day 1 Hyper was 4th with the Day 1 High Roller winner @91kid15 in 5th.
Similar story in the closing UKOPS 26 Hyper, which went to @rspca12. It was his 2nd win of the Series, as he won UKOPS 06 on Day 1 too. UKOPS 25 winner @seikus was 2nd this time. 3rd was @Nutter5932who I notice is now mainly playing Heads Up Speeds & Turbos, & doing very well by the look of it. He has one of the best looking Sharky graphs on the site & has won serious money here down the years. 4th was @Thoich with another FT for @Upswing in 5th. In 6th was @natnug, who tonight will officially be crowned as "Most Profitable Sky Poker MTT-er of the year", meaning he's won that title two years running.
That's about it for now.
It also marks the last daily write-up of 2023. Thanks for reading, & Happy New Year to you all.
