A business sold for £200million, despite
the stars of Dragons' Den insisting it had "no value". The two entrepreneurs behind Hungryhouse appeared on the BBC show in 2007 to ask for a £100,000 investment in the online takeaway ordering business.
In exchange, Shane Lake and Tony Charles had offered an 11 percent equity in the business. Peter Jones and Deborah Meaden were out straight away, with the latter telling the duo:
"I don’t think you go on to a website and think 'what do I want to eat tonight?' I just don’t think that’s people’s thought process."https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/newsbirmingham/dragons-den-business-with-no-value-sold-for-200m/ar-AA1mtCio?ocid=msedgntp&cvid=b3eacccf149f427597fdc6003ca4404a&ei=22
