Who won what, Wednesday 31st January. The Main sees a surprising & interesting podium

@Fretail took the Main, I'd venture to guess that was something of a surprise. Has no previous thread mentions, & is not on Sharky, so not much I can tell you except they've been here 9 years. 2nd was @yozacooper which is interesting, been here 15 years without troubling the judges but has suddenly sprouted wings, and in the last 4 weeks has been 1st & 2nd in Mains, & won a Mini too. A remarkable transformation. 2023 has been a bit uphill for @loosecamel in MTT's but 6th here was his best result so far, so maybe that will signal a change of fortune.

The Mini winner was another eyebrow archer, @trogster50 and once again I have nothing I can tell you except that it was almost certainly a PB. 5th was @Allan23 who is super solid at these stakes & was 2nd in Sunday's 9 @ 9. @thedazzman used Forum Comp Free Entries to play the Main & Mini, & was 21st in the Mini for ~£40, not exactly life-changing but definitely decent for a complete freeroll.

Talking of wins from Free Entries, @snowski did it in the PLO8. Again, "only" £60, but I find these things oddly pleasing.

@Eddy7777 took the £1k BH. In 4th was MML Daddy @mumsie who has made a good start to 2023, with wins in the £1k Rebuy BH, a £400 BH & a £200 Freezeout. That's karma, right there.

@bigfatfish is currently (at time of writing) leading the Sky Poker Prem League 2 leaderboard, playing some serious volume, over 100 DYM's yesterday alone, but still found time to win the Rebuy BH. @Jeni82 was 5th for a nice profit, & ran deep in Reload too.

@neenio, who won Avenger Main a fortnight ago, took the 9 @ 9, and it was good to see @Glenelg enjoy a deep run, eventually finishing 5th.

@Tiger33 took Sheriff from a high quality FT which included @NChanning @StayOrGo & man-of-the-moment @Super_Oli.

@Woebegone seems to have upped their game in 2023, & won Turbo, then ran 2nd in Quickdraw, the winner of which was @StayOrGo.

The evening (morning?) ended with @bakersdoze taking MidEx for the 2nd time in 3 weeks. His best result this year was 2nd in the Avenger Main that @neenio won."

A little quieter last night than of late, perhaps not helped by good football on TV. The Premier League are having one of their "midweek rounds" which they do from time to time, basically to earn increased income from the TV companies. Last night's televised offering included Liverpool, Spurs & Chelsea, tonight sees the likes of Man U & West Ham in televised action. Anyway, Main & Mini both saw small misses, Sheriff & 9 @ 9 both came in bang on the number, with Quickdraw the star turn, 50% above guarantee.

The Main had an odd look about it, with 3 experienced & successful players in 4th, 5th & 6th, with the podium occupied by less familiar names. Winner was @ezp who was playing their first MTT for nearly 3 months & only 8th since last April, and up until last night they were all £11 entry or less. No previous thread mentions. Runner-up @mickbell was equally surprising, it was their first ever game of any description on Sky Poker, one-tabled it too. Some start that. 3rd was @fisherking who as far as I'm aware rarely played stakes above £10. Having said all that, always good to see new faces in the thread.

The Mini went to @coolhanal who has the unusual distinction of having finished in every FT position in the Mini, 1st through 6th. Was 3rd in the Mini on 11th January but has barely been seen since.

For the 2nd straight night, @NOSTRI scored a win, Mega this time. As far as quantity of wins are concerned, January 2024 has been his best month here ever. It might have just been a heater, but I fancy he's upped his game.

@MikeyW94 is another with back-to-back wins, MidEx & then last night's Sheriff. (In fact, both were the same day).

Turbo & Quickdraw were both very hot finals, & it's perhaps worth looking at a few players who did particularly well last night;

@Super_Oli - 5th 7 @ 7, 3rd Sheriff, 1st Turbo, 4th MidEx

@destinycod - 6th Sheriff, 6th Turbo, 1st Quickdraw.

@Natnug - 4th Rebuy BH, 3rd 9 @ 9, 5th Turbo, 2nd Quickdraw.

Imagine being that good at poker. Fair play to them all, they've worked on their game & are all decent sorts.

SPT runner-up @Vertigo has had a quiet month since winning 9 @ 9 early doors but popped up with 1st place in last night's Rebuy BH.

@shad8604 has been making FT's for fun, he won Mega a week or so ago, & last night he won 9 @ 9.

@andyman999 played just two MTT's last night & FT'd both, 6th in the Rebuy BH & 1st in Reload.

Technically, the first win of February went to @GABIAGREEN who took MidEx to start the month perfectly.

Finally, some interesting cashees in the Rewards Freeroll, with @kidgirlgy who celebrated a "big" birthday this week in 2nd, @Jac35 in 7th for his biggest cash in 9 years, & @River_Fox sneaking into the money in 19th.
