This day last year

"Numbers were generally decent, with the sole exception of a big miss in the BWBH. Helping himself to a big dollop of that overlay was the excellent @Jscorgie who has won all the £110 comps several times. This was his third BWBH, he's also won several Sunday Majors & Summits, plus he picked up £2,700 last month in a Stack Builder Freeroll. Super tough FT too, with the likes of @roddy28 @wineli @Super_Oli & @fishhhhh all in attendance.

@FlynTimber took Avenger Main, his biggest score since winning an Xmas UKOPS, though he has bigger scores in the past including a Summit win, & 2nd & 3rd in Sunday Majors. 4th was @kawamattyz who claims to be the unluckiest player on the site. I fancy he may have some competition there.

@Loiner has been here 15 years & in taking last night's Avenger Mini achieved his biggest ever win. Interestingly, his 2nd, 3rd & 6th biggest cashes were all also in Avenger Mini. 2nd @68Trebor with money-machine @goldnballz in 4th, a position he repeated in 9 @ 9.

7 @ 7 went to Mr Illegible Alias @lIlldtgbht. There is a vowel in there somewhere if you look carefully.

@XS2012 took the 9 @ 9 for the 2nd time this month.

Mega had the most competitive podium in many a moon, with @Swog doing well to scramble home ahead of superior opposition in the form of @tonyp142 & @chrisdonkb.

There was another super tough FT in Turbo which went to @Super_Oli ahead of @Steed432 @NChanning & @Doooobs.

Similar story in Quickdraw which was taken by @Natnug ahead of @podraic & @ozzieowen.

@ILIKE2FISH took MidEx, was also 3rd in 9 @ 9 & won a £300 BH. 2nd was @chrisdonkb who made 3 FT's last night - MidEx, Main & Mega.

Delighted to see @coo1-um book his seat for SPT Brighton, while @the_unit won his 2nd seat."

MTT traffic was probably about where it's expected to be for a midweek Thursday in February. One especially bright note was that new £400 PLO8 which made £490, if it can remain there or thereabouts it'll become a permanent fixture. The PLO version did really badly last Saturday, fingers crossed for a better turnout this Saturday.

In the Main, @Tastysnack took the top spot. What a week Tasty has had, 3 wins in their last 3 nights (did not play on Wednesday) - Monday's Mini, Tuesday's 9 @ 9, last night's Main. Splendid stuff. 2nd was @OurAndrew -could that be Prince Andrew? - who is an infrequent MTT-er here but does OK, having won a Sharpshooter Main last year & that big Sunday night BH in 2022. It was the 2nd time he's been runner-up in Hitman Main.

@spearsy136 took the Mini. Think that's his fifth Mini win (3 x Hitman, 1 x Sharpshooter, 1 x Mini Major), in fact make that 6 as he won a UKOPS Mini too. Quite the Mini record that, it's never an easy one to win. 3rd was @claudel9 who was also 3rd in 7 @ 7, this follows two FT's on Wednesday and 7 a 7 @ 7 win on Tuesday, so he's rattling along a treat.

@ToddB had a decent session, winning 7 @ 7 & 6th in the £1k BH. Best effort to date was winning a Hitman Mini last month.

@GFKIJKLL took Sheriff, followed by a gaggle of the usual suspects, with the addition of @River_Fox in 6th who I don't think normally plays Sheriff.

@SnipSnip one-tables Reload most nights, & after running 6th this time last month, had their patience rewarded with a win last night.

That £400 guaranteed PLO8 was played in tremendous spirit, good vibes & positive chat throughout. For a long time it looked like @pompeynic would get the win, but on a helter-skelter final table which swung & swong dramatically, @Asho28 Asho28 @loololollo @onejohnb @bbMike @pompeynic & @dragon1964.

Two more seats were won to SPT Brighton, @Pipes22 & @gr0wapear so that's 17 now - & still no dupes.
