This day last year

"Crushy @loololollo was attempting to win the Main for the third straight night, but it ended in failure, finishing a respectable 37th. The bookies would have priced the winner - @dave62 - at plenty to one, he's played 14,500 games here with an average ABI of £5 & is modestly rated by Sharky. Bit odd really, been playing £3 & £5 stuff lately & then suddenly pops up in a £33 affair. Of those 14,500 games, 11,000 were MTT's & he had just two featured wins, a Mini Hitman in 2020 & a £1k BH last year. Well done Dave. Runner-up was @BRADERS11 who I was surprised to note sits 2nd in the 2023 MTT "Count" on Sky Poker, behind only @podraic.

@GrymR may have set some kind of record when winning a Mini for the 3rd time this year & second time this month. So that's an Avenger, a Hitman & a Predator in around 7 weeks, which takes a bit of doing in ~300 runner fields.

The @splashies winning machine roared back into action when he took 7 @ 7, the first time he's done so this year. The bigger version, 9 @ 9, went to another serial winner in @THETANK & later in the evening he also took down a £300 BH.

@Moon_River (wider than a mile) took the £1k BH for the second time in under a fortnight. He'll be off to see the world now.

The Rebuy BH was taken by @11061976 which sounds very much like a DOB. Been here 13 years but has played just 43 MTT's & has no previous winning form that I can see.

We have not seen very much of @IamAll_En this year but he was here last night & took Mega, his first featured MTT victory this year. Runner-up was @TheBench1 who had a good seat throughout.

@FUNKYB31 won Reload for the third time, fending off the ominous presence of runner-up @Arrogant who later won Quickdraw.

@69winsalot who has several big results including a bunch of Mains, and a Sunday Major from a freeroll entry, took Turbo with @Natnug in 2nd.

We were graced by the presence of @destinycod last night, the first time for a week in MTT's, & he had a decent double, MidEx & a £300 Turbo BH. He'll be at SPT Brighton & if you get the chance to engage with him on poker strategy, don't miss the chance, he's super insightful & very helpful. Try & catch him before he goes to the bar though. Good luck with that.

4 more SPT Brighton seats were won, including @gibbzy and a second seat for @tonyp142. For the third night in 4, it made 4 seats, despite only 2 being guaranteed."

Gold Rush Main went to @grinddd & for good measure he ran 2nd in Turbo, which came in way above it's run rate at £1,740. Mr @grinddd has a stellar MTT record here, this was his 6th "regular" Main event win, plus he's won the Major three times, Summit 3 times & a UKOPS Main. 2nd was @Rstinson97 with @Swog 5th & @FlynTimber, who just plays the Main & Mini most nights, in 6th.

Using ecclesiastical aliases on a gambling platform seems an oddly incongruous choice, but it does not seem to do @PopeBrian1 any harm as he won the Mini, the second time he's done so, though the previous occasion was some 5 years back. A quick peruse of papal records suggest there has never been a Pope Brian, but there's time yet.

It was a splendid session for @tonyp142 who bagged two 1st places - Summit & 7 @ 7, as well as 2nd in Turbo. Won a £55 SPT Brighton satellite seat for £11 too, though did no good in the Semi, but he does already have a seat locked up. 3rd was @pooochy who has shown improved form of late, and the same applies to 4th placed @Dingle1234 who won last Friday's BWBH.

@aynaricol has been facing the headwinds of variance this year but seems to be emerging out the other side & took her third Featured MTT of 2024 when winning Mega, having already scored wins in 9 @ 9 & Rebuy BH.

There was a hot 9 @ 9 renewal, with @mysteryreg 1st, the in-form @NOSTRI 2nd @FAS 3rd & @chkngeorge 4th.

@Dutchy76 showed up for the first time in 6 weeks to win an unusually big Turbo, holding off @grinddd @tonyp142 & @cabbaz.

@Doddsy750 only signed up yesterday & then played all the PLO8 stuff, & won the "big" nightly PLO8 at the very first time of asking. An interesting newcomer & maybe one to keep an eye on. Fingers crossed they do not get put off by the toxic chat in that most nights which does nobody any favours. Imagine getting bent out of shape every night in a fiver MTT, it makes no sense at all.

@MARK277 invested just £20 to play just 4 MTT's, won the £1k BH & went home with £200 in his pocket. LIKE.

@esme180 spent all evening playing budget price SPT Brighton sats, eventually bagged his Semi Final seat & then went on to win his Brighton seat. The other seat went to @tomgoodun who lives quite local, & it'll be terrific to see him there. Incidentally, in yesterday's write-up I suggested that @loololollo had won his third seat to SPT Brighton. This was incorrect, he's "only" won 2. So far...

You don't need to do anything, or inform anyone. Just turn up on the Friday or Saturday, whichever you prefer, & report to the Registration Desk. Your name will be there on a spreadsheet. That's it, job done. Any problems, come see me, but there won't be any issues.

Arrive in plenty of time though, in case there is an Alternates list. You are not registered UNTIL you report to the Registration Desk, so even if you have won a seat, you'd still have to go on the Alternates list if all the seats are full.
