On a personal level, I agree with you/the article. But it's not going to happen.
30p Lee has always been someone with his own opinions. Farage. Without the polish. Or talent. Thrown out of the Labour Party for racism as recently as 2018. He won't change. He will continue to be a mouthpiece for the Rabid Right. Thing is, there is a General Election looming. And his chances of retaining his Seat is roughly 0%. He knows that. He used to be a Labour Councillor and Election Agent there.
When he loses his seat, he loses a large part of his voice. Which will not only suit me-it will suit an awful lot of people in the Conservative Party. Why give him (yet another) opportunity to grandstand?
Truss. Shown exactly the sort of "disloyalty" that resulted in a lot of good Tories being thrown out under Boris. But Boris was in a far stronger position back then.
Farage is sitting back. Assessing his options as to whether to try and take over the Conservative Party. Or destroy it. The last thing the Conservative Party needs is in-fighting before the next election.
Because 1 set of election results might mean that there is a massive contest as to the direction of the Conservative Party. But the other likely set calls into question its very existence.
So the Tories will try and muddle through to the next Election. And pray they get 150-200 seats.
The disaster that was Truss should never be allowed near politics again or be allowed to vote on any decision that concerns the country. She should be stripped of any privileges that former PM's receive and cast out in to the political wilderness and never be able to grace the halls of power in this country for the rest of her life for what she done to the country.
well if I am right then tories will win the next election and things will get even worse if I am wrong and labour do win and tories get wiped out then reform will become the new party which will win the election after and they will welcome Liz Truss and Lee anderson with welcome arms.
